Maple Syrup Trail

Average Rating:    (5 of 5)

No. of Reviews: 2

All downhill, fun singletrack with lot''s of turns and steep drops going through maple and pine trees all the way down. This trail has some switchbacks and some extremely short climbs. Don''t get caught in a tree and get syrup all over you! This is a mountain bike trail for mountain bikers only. Fun descents and unforgettable mountainbiking. This is the hardest bike trail of the three singletrack trails in Ephraim Canyon.

Trail Directions
Start climbing in Ephraim on this good climb along the Ephraim Canyon Road all the way to Willow Creek road about 4-5 miles(after 2,000 feet of climbing). Then ride on the Willow Creek road 1 mile until the two ponds and there should be a singletrack trail on the right about 50 yards more. You should see a pile of rocks on the right side of the road and a yellow sign, then go down the trail. About halfway down, you will cross another road then look for another yellow sign and continue down the singletrack trail that connects to the Flume Trail, another famous bike trail. Take the Flume Trail to take you all the way down to the valley.

Summary:
Your climbing and handling skills will pay off here! This is the funnest and hardest singletrack bike trail in Ephraim Canyon. This singletrack trail has many fun switchbacks, bridges, and loads of turns and burms. This trail is a forest trail and watch out for the trees. It is a good fun mountain bike trail, you won't be disappointed. Oh, take the Flume Trail(more downhill fun) afterwards to go all the way to Ephraim.

Recommended Route:
I would climb on the Ephraim canyon road about 2,000 feet all the way to Willow Creek road. Then go down the trail, after that, take the Flume Trail which takes you all the way to Ephraim.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Pioneer Trail and Flume Trail are also good singletrack bike only trails which were built by Skyline Cycles. Check them out on the reviews.
