Summary:
THIS RIDE HAS A LITTLE OF EVERYTHING. LEG BURNING CLIMBS, TECHNICAL SECTIONS, FAST, INSPIRING DOWNHILLS AND INCREDIBLE VIEWS FROM THE TOP OF LONE ROCK. TRY TO NOT DO IT IN THE HEAT THE FIRE ROAD TO THE TOP PROVIDES NO COVER. BE SURE YOU HAVE SPARE TUBES THE CONNECTOR HAS A FEW SECTIONS OF ROOTS NOBBIES AND ROCKS, OH MY. THIS RIDE IS USUALLY DONE BY EXPERIENCED TO INTERMEDIATE RIDERS. THE CONNECTOR ALONE WILL BE ALL THE RIDING THE NOVICE WOULD WANT, AND MAYBE MORE. KEEP YOUR EYES OUT FOR DEER. I SEE SOME EVERYTIME I RIDE.

Recommended Route:
BY FAR THE BEST STARTING POINT IS THE SOUTH SHORELINE CONNECTOR AT WASATCH BOULEVARD AND ABOUT 120000 SOUTH. PARK AT THE PARK AND HEAD SOUTH. FOLLOW THE BLACKTOP LOOP WHERE YOU WILL SEE A SIGN THAT SAYS, BONNEVILLE SHORELINE TRAIL", HEADING SOUTH YOU WILL ENCOUNTER A FEW SMALL CONNECTORS. 200 YARDS INTO THE RIDE YOU WILL HAVE TO CROSS A SMALL CREEK AND A LARGE ROCK BOULDER THAT WILL REQUIRE YOU TO WALK. THERE IS ONE SHORT BUT STEEP CLIMB ON THE SHORELINE TRAIL THAT HAS A COUPLE OF TIGHT SWITCHBACKS. AFTER THAT YOU SHOULD BE CRUISIN. ONCE YOU HIT THE FIRE ROAD TAKE IT TO THE TOP(EAST). THERE ARE SEVERAL SINGLE TRACKS DOWN, BUT REMEMBER, YOU WILL HAVE TO GET BACK UP TO THE SHORELINE CONNECTOR. DOWNHILL BIKES NEED NOT APPLY.

Summary:
Great single track that has millions of options. Not very technical though, but you can be a speed demon on the way down. Great for training and going faster than whats good for you. I took my freind on it though (he had a costco bike), he crashed once or twice and bent both rims.(don't take a cheap piecer on this).

Recommended Route:
Go up by the equestrain center by on south mountain, and find your way up the trails. (There is a race track)

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Jacobs Ladder

Summary:
The Corner Canyon trail makes for great race training. It is divided into segments that are good for interval training. I use it frequently because it is so close to my home. It's not terribly demanding if you ride at a slow pace. If you lay into it, it will kick your ass. There aren't any technical sections unless you leave the road and go looking for singletrack.

Recommended Route:
Straight up the Corner Canyon access road. When you reach the open field at the top of the accent (where the land is shredded by 4x4's), turn East and climb to the next section of fire access road. Follow this road until it begins to fork. If you keep taking north forks, you will end up at the top of Jacob's Ladder. This begins one fast luge style descent that will blow your mind. You get dumped out on the Corner Canyon Access road. From here look around the valley. There are tons of other trails including plenty of singletrack and the South Mountain MTB race course.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Jacob's Ladder, The Corner Canyon-Alpine-Hog Hollow Loop.

Summary:
Its a fun ride!!!

Recommended Route:
If you start form the Alpine side of the mountain you go up to Hog Hollow road and follow it west until it turns into dirt road. This is where the trail starts and you follow the road up through the trees and bushes. you can turn off the trail in several places. to explore but I usually stay on the main road. once you get on top of the mountain there is a big hill to the east you can ride over and find some really fun downhills on the other side of it.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Its a lot of fun to go up and spend a few hours exploring side trails but I do know that on the Draper side they have big signs saying that you cant go on some of them.

Reviewed by: SheepShagger , from Manti, Utah

Summary:
Great for spring training when you need a realatively easy grind to burn the legs a little. Unfortunately this whole mountain is being developed and all the fun trails on the bonneville bench are being destroyed.

Recommended Route:
Just follow the road.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
There is some trails being maintained in the housing development if you dont mind city riding.
