, from westminster Ca. U.S. Summary: This trail starts at in excess of 6500ft on a steep rocky fireroad and after a couple of miles became so steep that all of the six of us"all three or four ride a week riders" had to push for the better part of two miles. When we finally reached the top of the trail and sterted down we had to stop every couply hundred yards to portage due to patches of snow 3 to 4 feet deep in every shadow and deadfall evereywhare, all this in june. This ride/hike took us seven hours and drained all of our 100 oz camelbacks. It was evident that most people allready got the message because we didnt see anybody the whole ride,we didnt even see any tracks. Recommended Route: If you decide to try it you can follow Daves guide to moab but its an hour drive from Moab to the trailhead. The directions are the only thin you should use Daves guid for.
Other recommended trails in the same area: Slick Rock "at night",Bartlets wash.
