Hurricane Canal Rim Trail
1 reviews
 4 of 5

Nice trail, singletrack, climbs and downhills combination, but not bad either way. Great views of the mesas and Virgin River. This is a nice addition to the trail network that is beginning to develop in this area. You can access this trail from the GEM trail, if you ride it West, or down. This is a new trail and has recently had a lot of work done to it. It follows the rim of the Virgin River and winds around a few canyons. This is a nice trail and keeps getting better as it is ridden and worked on. The last part, towards the Hurricane end, was originaly made for hikers, so it is a little tight, but not to bad. Overall it is a great trail and I recommend it highly.

Summary:
I highly recommend this trail for the intermetite rider who loves single track. Since the addition of the north eastern section of trail you can now tie into the Jem trail and make a good 10 mile loop or you can ride this trail both ways and have a great morning or afternoon ride in the Spring or Fall. During the summer this trail is too hot to ride except in the early morning. This trail offers single track, switchbacks and technical rock sections. (Watch your pedals in the rocky sections) There are no trees just rock cactus and mesquete but the views are great of the Hurricane valley, Virgin river and Gooseberry Mesa.

Gooseberry Mesa
