Both trails follow the Stones river, and both have a few climbs and many obstacles, roots, rocks, limbs, etc. Don't ride after a recent rain becuase there are low places that will have standing water.

Trail Directions
travel 30 miles south of Nashville and take the 1st Murfreesboro Exit (don't go toward Franklin!)....You will go right off of the exit naturally, and travel about 10 miles or so down Old Fort Pkwy (aka..Memorial Blvd) Pass the VA Hospital, then turn left just before the Bridge at Walter Hill Dam, following the signs to Twin Fork Recreation / Picnic area. You will come to a split, go right....Travel through the country for about 5 miles, cross over the interstate, and turn right into the park just before the road dead-ends. Turn right into the large parking lot. You will see 2 trail heads. When facing the boat ramp, there is one on the right, and one on the lft. The one on the right is easier. The one on the left makes a full loop, a few miles long, and brings you back almost where you started. These are horse trails, yet I have never run into a horse-back rider.

I wasn't impressed. I think the only time to ride here would be after a drought.

Summary:
I have yet to ride this trail without encountering a horse. the trail is rough from the horses and does not flow well. it is the closest thing to home so i ride it for a post work work out. its only about 3 miles. the road to get their never dead ends by the way. just take the right at the sign that says "East Fork Recreation Area". this trail is primarily for horses so move for them. we are currently working on making 'bike only' trails that will involve some intense rock gardens, quick down hills, log rides, and dirt jumps. if you live outside of murfreesboro or nashville, its not really worth your time to drive. give it about a year from this post and it should be a great place.

Recommended Route:
main parking lot(left trail)

Other recommended trails in the same area:
lock four down the road another 20miles.

This is a good midrange trail. Ride it in late fall or take a lot of bug spray, mosqueto and ticks are highly populated when I rode it. It is not a very hard. A good place to take a beginner .

THIS TRAIL SUCKS SUCKS SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is unless you like a overgrown, flat, muddy, rocky, horse crap, redneck, infested by snakes trail. I would not even give this trail a one-tire rating but I had no choice.

Summary:
I was disappointed with the mostly flat and overgown horse trails. The trails consist of loose gravel, rocks and grass. I do not believe that this should even be on the list of bike trails. Although I did not ride the whole park, I feel sure that the terrain is not best for bike riding, because of the flat and gravel area. The trails are surrounded by farm land, and the scenery is nice, but not worth the ride.

Recommended Route:
The trails are marked by signs of horse riders.
