The trail runs on the top of Cherokee Mtn. The first part of the trail is single track on twisty ridge top(very fun)! After riding this singletrack for about a mile it will come to a TVA power line. This cut allows a beautiful view over the valley to the left and a scenic view of the mountaineous terrain to the left. Continue on the trail to the chute where the trail descends 880 vertical feet in .6 mile. This is an average grade of 25% and steep places of up to 40% grade. Hang on! The trail ends 2 miles down the road from the parking lot. Ride back up the road to car.

Summary:
This trail is commonly called the chute trail. It is named this because of the steep descent. It is quite a trail!!! It is definatly an advanced trail that is a blast. I highly recommend this ride to any advanced rider.

Summary:
Excellent new trail! A lot of variety from fire road to single track to very, very steep downhill!Only for experienced riders who are not afraid of steep descents. Definately not to be ridden after rain or snow when ground is wet due to erosion.

the other side, Buffalo Mtn
