Summary:
Super Flow-ie trail that is very well maintained. Enough technical parts to challenge you every .5mi or so, but relatively flat with rolling downhills and climbs.

I've been all around the country riding and this trail is perfect for a fast, awesome ride that doesn't take too long.

Recommended Route:
BLT 1-BLT 16

AMAZING, raced a 6 hour endurance race last weekend and was very impressed. This is a top notch trail designed by riders with a passion for the sport! If in the area, and love to ride it is a must.

Recommended Route:
i rode the race route and it was great, both sides of the road were included.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
From Atlanta and dont get up that way much. Pisgah and Tsali in NC are amazing, Chicopee Woods and Bull Mt. in Georgia

Summary:
This is the trail I learned to mountain bike on and really fell in love with the sport. What you've got here is about an 8.5 mile loop consisting of 16 "belts"...numbered BLT1 through BLT16. Some of the belts are easier than others, but none are very technical. I rode this trail my first time riding and had no problems with it. Sure, I had to walk my bike over a couple rocks, but it was still enjoyable. The trail is relatively smooth and has some really fun downhills and drops.

Recommended Route:
Start at the trailhead and take an immediate left onto BLT1 and follow the belts in numerical order all the way through BLT16. This is a one-way trail, so this route isn't recommended, it is THE sanctioned route.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Hamilton Creek, Montgomery Bell, Defeated Creek

Sorry, I meant to say take an immediate right not left.

Also, don't even attempt the ride the trails across the road during the spring...they stay muddy and should not be ridden.

Read the previous review and you will get a great idea about the trail. Worth the visit. If tape is across the trail entry, then don't go that way.

Summary:
This place is SWEET! My kind of trail... doesn't seem like much climbing but at the same time feels fast like you're traveling downhill much more than up. Don't know how that's possible, but that's how it felt! Trail maintenance is top-notch. It's got some cool jumps and drops throughout the trail. It's a whole lot of awesome packed into a nice system. This place was packed with riders just hanging out and enjoying the beautiful day and amazing riding conditions. Very cool vibe at the trail head. I'll be revisiting Lock 4 every time I visit Nashville!

Recommended Route:
BLT (in numerical order)+ hit the jumps at the beginning a few times

Other recommended trails in the same area:
I come in from Cincinnati to ride with my brother and my favorite rides have been Raccoon Mt. - Chattanooga, Land Between the Lakes - southern KY, and Lock 4 - Nashville area
