Collins River Bike Trail

Average Rating:    (3 of 5)

No. of Reviews: 1

It is classified as a moderate trail. Three mile trail that makes a loop that comes back to the main road. Can be ridden either direction. Easy technical, nice downhill sections, and a few good uphill grinds. Great trail for beginners and mid-ability riders. Trail is under tree cover fro most of the three miles. In Summer the temps and humidity can be in the mid nineties, or higher, so bring plenty of water. No services, or facilities at the trailhead, but Rock Island Convenience Store is 3 miles back a the intersection of Hwy 136 and Hwy 287. Camping and full facilities are available at the Rock Island State Park Campground on Beach road to the northeast.

Solid intermediate trail. Great cardio workout, and short downhill runs. Hot and humid. Loop can be run in reverse. Watch out for hikers. Make multiple runs until you are spent.
