This is not a trail for those of you looking for air or highly technical runs;but it is a very nice trail for a good cardio run with beautiful scenery;mostly relatively level stretches with a couple of good climbs and swift descents;couple of creek crossings

Summary:
We camped at fall creek falls and had no trouble finding the trail given the directions from previous reviews. There are 1/2 dozen trees down but that's to be expected of a trail that doesn't get ridden too often. I rode it with my son, together we renamed it GT trail....grass tick trail. We sprayed off prior to riding but the trail was infested with ticks. I guess it's just a little gift from nature but an unwanted gift at that. Not a bad cardo burn but all the ticks caused dissapointment.

Recommended Route:
We went counter clockwise, no reason

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Check out the overnight trail at Fall Creek Falls.

Summary:
After a nice descent on the jeep trail you being a looong slow ascent which continues for over half of the 6 mile loop. Turns out you are riding up a ridge beside a gully which contains the second half of the loop. Once splitting off there's some nice fun descents, at least they would be if not for the downed trees all over (Well over a dozen, many of which require you to walk around them into the woods to get past). We could also tell it'd been a while since anyone had ridden the trail due to the dozens of spider webs we took in the face.

If I were closer I'd get involved in helping maintain this park's trails and working to build some more, as this park has TONS of potential due to its incredible terrain and gorgeous gulches.

Summary:
UPDATE. Trail is cleared of big stuff. Needs riding. The (small) creek crossing is a little hairy right now. A tree has blocked the shallower fording area. If you ride straight thru you'll get your hubs under.

All double track, but grown over in places. Decent climb going in. Little climb after you cross the creek. RIDE IT!

If it were 10 miles long, I'd rate it a 5.

Recommended Route:
Park at Newton Ford Picnic Area. Go back across Cane Creek bridge. Drop in to the left. Stay on double track.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Get on the singletrack for the 13 mile Upper Loop!

Summary:
CR is a good work out, not technical but good for cardio. Agree with other reviewer that it needs to be ridden more to keep the grass beat down. Watch out for hidden logs under the grass, and there are several trees across the trail where you have to dismount to go under.
Over all good trail for anyone. i paln to go back and ride it again soon.

Summary:
Nice trail. Needs to be rode more often to keep the grass and brush on the trail beat down. Has some trees down and needs some limbs and weeds trimmed, but is passable. Be prepared for tick heaven. This is not a technical track but is good for endurance building, especially the first big hill climb.

Recommended Route:
See Fall Creek Falls park website
