Bear Wheels Bike Trail

Average Rating:    (3.5 of 5)

No. of Reviews: 2

Two loops (Black Bear and Grizzly Bear) Black Bear is shorter (not sure how long), Grizzly Bear is about 9 miles with mile markers. Grizzly is a climb with switchbacks some straight runs, all single track, some drops into drainages, but not many. If you choose the Grizzly Bear be prepared to grind up from the trailhead at about 560 feet MSL to the top of the course at 960 feet MSL, and once you reach the top you descend for a bit then climb up once more. The downhill is about a mile and a half through switchbacks back down to the trailhead.

Trail is in great condition, entire trail is under tree cover, can be quite humid, trails border Cordell Hull Lake (Defeated Creek Marina)not very technical, but a great workout.
