Big Foot Mountain Cross

5 of 5
1/4 mile Mountain Cross/ATBMX trail with multiple jumps, whoop-de-dos, etc. There are other trails that are being built with many other jumps and obstacles, made of dirt and wood. There are also a few fun singletrack trails. Great place to ride for everyone.
Located on Joe Daniels Rd., off of Oak Ridge Highway, just before Oak Ridge Hwy merges with Pellissippi Pkwy.
This map shows where Joe Daniels Rd. is, but it is not exactly where the star is. You will see the parking straight ahead, just after you turn onto Joe Daniels Rd....

Summary: Big Foot is amazing... I ride there at least once a week... Tons of jumps and a few "ladders", etc... The freeride trails are the best... I love riding them, however the only thing that sucks is you have to go all the way back up them if you want to ride the mountain cross track down... All in all this is the most fun you can have without going to Windrock
Recommended Route: All the way to the top of the track you will see a line of 3 pretty big gap jumps with 2 burms in a row after them. If you ride past the burms and keep going straight you will run directly into the freeride trails
Other recommended trails in the same area: Windrock and I.C. King if you're into cross country

Summary: Long 4x track all downhill with big berms & jumps that you can roll or boost.Race time about :35 from start gate to finish. Also several freeride trails with small drops & berms all downhill.
Large gravel parking lot.Races held there in the past.
Dirt jumps for experts, and smaller ones for everyone else.
It's fun for all skill levels. Most locals do the maintanence-so come on out & ride.
Bring & wear your helmet & wear armor if needed !

Summary: Big foot is awesome. I have been riding there just about everyday and building there equally as much. It is comparable to windrock just a little less intense, more about fun and going big than going really dangerously fast over sketchy stuff. Lots of dirt jumps and adding more everyday. big doubles, some up to 25 ft gaps right now. skinnies, tree rides, wall rides, drops, rock gardens, single track, teeter totters. Not to mention the mountaincross track. Come ride and help us dig and build. Props to Mark, Doug, Cole, Joe and everyone else whose been putting in the hours of sweat and dirt to make this place explode like it is about to. Windrock watchout.
Recommended Route: mountain cross track. If you stand at the start gate and then turn 180 there is a trail that leads to some really ill little dj $#!7. If you stand at the start gate and turn 90 to your right, follow the firebreak til it dead ends to single track, go down there! that section is growing daily. Another fun trail is if you hit the six pack to the left of the start and then follow the trail around the burm, there's a good teeter totter and numerous balance beems, skinnies, logs, hops, drops and other stuff.
Other recommended trails in the same area: Windrock is cool if you have a shuttle. Downtown K town has some decent urban. UTK has a lot of really sick urban. If you are into freeride, dj, downhill, 4x come to big foot. We were talking about a dual slalom course too , so that might be there by the time you read this and get up there.
