Ridden Trail: Ridden Once

, from Nashville Summary: Tryed to ride this trail, but it has not been maintained or rode very often. Has the potential to be a great trail. Too many trees down. You will ride 50 yards and stop to contort your bike over and thru trees and limbs. Not to mention tick heaven.

Ridden Trail: Ridden Once
| |
Reviewed by: Wade
, from Woodbury, TN Summary: Tornado damage has clogged this trail with heavy timber. Park is currently working on the red tape necessary to get commercial loggers to clear it out. Recommended Route: Trail is closed at this time. I haven't ridden it yet. Other recommended trails in the same area: The park also offers the Upper Loop trail--all singletrack (with some bridges out right now) and the Chinquapin Ridge Trail. Main office of park has maps and friendly staff to get you onto the trails. The Upper Loop trail will be fixed up this Spring, but requires some creative routing or fording at the present. Will update as possible. These are my new "home trails"--only 50 miles away.

Ridden Trail: Every few months
| |
Reviewed by: Scott
, from TN Summary: The first couple of miles are the toughest. The trail goes straight up and over a ridge and is rocky. Looks like trail was cut by small bulldozer or bobcat, not quite singletrack, not quite doubletrack. Last few miles are an old forest road which is rolling. This road ends at the Gulf and during the winter it has really nice views. If you only want to ride the forest road, park on road to group camp, and ride around edge of camp.
Recommended Route: Out and back trail. Other recommended trails in the same area: Upper Loop at FCF for 14.5 miles of kickin singletrack, or Chinquapen ridge for more forest road.
