Weekend Warrior Summary: I had a fun time riding here, I went two days in a row. This was my first outing on a new bike my first 29er and I had a blast. I spent most of my time doing several passes on the short loop. There is a lot of limestone and a fair amount of roots and a few ride-able trees across the trail for some easy obstacles. The trail makes it's way downhill gradually but still offers some speed then there are a few switchbacks uphill. You make your way up and down so it's not all down then up but a good mix of up and down intermixed.
The second day it had rained right before I got there and the large chunks of limestone you ride across made the trail super slick which was fun in a holy crap I'm going to hit that tree kind of way. I had to slow it down and be pretty careful but was still an enjoyable time. I took some pictures of the trail and hopefully you can find them here.

Weekend Warrior Summary: As previous reviewer indicated, there are now around 2-3 miles of trail at Longhunter, in the Bryant Grove section of the park. Follow the "Jones Mill Mountain Bike Trail" signs from Hobson Pike.
The trail is pretty easy, a good beginner trail. It's also the closest trail to Murfreesboro. (Take Couchville Pike west from 840 east.) Recommended Route: Go clockwise. The trails are clearly marked.

Weekend Warrior Summary: Longhunter has been extended and an entire back section of new trail has been opened that essentially doubles the length. Nice easy trail. Some gentle hills and nice view but nothing too challenging. Definitely worth checking out since the new trail has been added. Recommended Route: only one way really with a couple of bailouts Other recommended trails in the same area: Lock 4 or Ham creek are both 10-15 miles from here

, from NASHVILLE Summary: As of 4-2000 this loose network of trails was open to all types of users. It is very muddy during the spring. When the Lake is high some sections of trail are under 3 feet of water. The routes are good, some longer than others, with most running beside the Lake. You can spend 2 hours here easily. Lot of side routes away from the 4x4's. Watch for horses, motorcycles, and ATV's. It isn't as rocky as Hamilton Creek, giving you a chance to go fast on straight sections. Recommended Route: Park where the dirt area is. This trail is outside Long Hunter State Park across the bridge. Other recommended trails in the same area: Hamilton Creek
