Weekend Warrior Summary: I found this trail to be a good mixture of everything, roots, rock gardens, switchbacks and great downhill runs. I thought that the layout was very nice and it literaly has something for every rider at every age, I even saw families out there riding the course. I would definitely suggest stopping by The Biker's Choice bike shop in Hermitage for a map, it really paid off. I would also like to thank the bike shop for helping us out with some new shoes and well needed inner tube. I would definitely drive the hour to ride it again! Recommended Route: Lock 4, Rotary Park, Montgomery Bell SP and Canal Loop on LBL (KY) Other recommended trails in the same area: see above

Weekend Warrior Summary: Lock 4 is very cool. Although it's actually off PEACH VALLEY Rd. Lots of nice down hill with switchback up hills for less effort on my part. I just rode it for the first time and it was, as said before, worth the drive. It's nice to ride along the water and my partner even spotted a dear. It's very fast and the jumps are fun too. I'll be going back again for sure. Recommended Route: Hit em all! Other recommended trails in the same area: I like Hamilton Creek as well, but it's hell on stock rims. Be forwarned you'll need a good truing after a couple rides.

, from Knoxville TN Summary: If you are wondering if this trail is too easy or too technical for you then don't worry. This trail has a great mix of stretches for different skill levels and it is easy to pick your level. I recommend printing a map (available from a link off the Lock4 web site) cause we got a bit lost in the east trails. Its not really a problem because the area is bounded by road and lake and it is pretty easy to get out. The folks maintaining this trail have done a great job. There are signs begging riders to let the trail rest after a rain. We should all try our best to respect that. Recommended Route: We did almost all of it.

, from Owensboro, Ky Summary: I really enjoyed this trail. I have only been riding twice this year and I am embarassed to admit that (Injuries). We drove about 2hrs. and had to put up with some late friends(and we have all been there before). But the drive was well worth it. The trails were in great shape. They also offered so many different aspects to riding such as some rocky trails, some nice switchback uphills and downhills, some tight technical areas and even some jumps that my friends which are BMX riders also really enjoyed. I highly recommend this trail to riders of all skill levels. It is the best trail that I have ridden in my two year mountain bike experiences. We had a couple of ladies with us that are verily new to the sport and they also enjoyed it very much. The only difficulty we had was with the directions. We never found a Sweeet Holly Rd. We ended up using Peach Valley Rd. and it took us straight to Lock4 Rd. Have fun.

, from Madison, TN Summary: 5/23/2002 was my first time at Lock 4, and my first time back on the trails after many years of being away. It was a blast! The trail was fast in a lot of areas, and even after being out of the loop for awhile, I managed to keep things under control. I did get turned around and ended up going backwards on the route at one point (sorry folks). The signs are helpful, but some of the forks in the trail aren't marked, and it's easy to get turned around or end up on a trail you hadn't intended on. I'm looking forward to improving my ride and conquering some of the more challenging areas of the trail for a rookie like me. The views of the lake are beautiful, and everyone encountered was friendly and helpful. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to get out there and enjoy some good trails and scenery.
