Cross Country Rider Summary: Something for every level. Bridges, small jumps, burms, downhill, etc. Do not ride if it just rained unless you like to slip and slide. I love this place! It is a blast to ride. I am somewhat a beginner and get better and faster every ride here. Has some fast downhills that can freak you out a bit if you are not used to it, but I made it down fine. Gained speed even with the breaks locked! Recommended Route: I enter from parking lot and bypass the rocky climb to the right and take that trail to the twister trail and along the shore and then just explore from there. Get lost a lot but eventually you find the way out. There are several places to enter and several places to exit. Allow yourself time to explore, or take a trail map with you. Its very helpful. Other recommended trails in the same area: IC King, Concord, Bearden Greenway for a nice paved family ride.

Cross Country Rider Summary: This trail is far from my place in Marietta,Ga. (about 180-190 miles) but the drive is absolutely worth it.This trail has it all;sweet singletrack along a beautiful lake(Melton Hill),Technical singletrack, great downhills and great views.I really enjoyed this trail.Don't let the lack of altitude fool you(850 to 1100feet approximately),this one is a great workout with 20+ miles. Recommended Route: All of them

, from Knoxville Summary: Haw Ridge offers something for intermediate to expert riders. Definitely a heck of a workout, with speedy fire roads, singletrack, freakin crazy roller coasters rides, excrutiating and seemingly unrealistic climbs and fantastic to scary downhills. Dont be afraid to ride here; doing so will get you in great shape... Recommended Route: depends on skill level....seriously! Other recommended trails in the same area: Concord, I.C. King, Tsali, Big South Fork NRA

, from Charlotte, NC Summary: On the way to Nashville and a friend told us about this jewel. Lots of trails from beginner to intermediate. Well marked and maintained. Just make sure to pick up a map and only go on trails at your riding level. Ridge Trail had brutal climbs and decents. Made all of Roller Coaster's climbs other than the last. Saddle Trail was excellent singletrack - not too technical. The trails along the lake seemed to provide the best long consistent riding, just don't fall because the drop into the lake is steep. Loved the variety. Recommended Route: Ride the shoreline for a moderate workout without too much technical stuff.
