Almost all twisting single track with lots of roots and bumps. There are some challenging short climbs and drops and some downed trees to attempt. The view of the lake is excellent.

Summary:
All the reviews of this trail are spot on. Trail is in great shape with some challenging ups, roots, downed trees and dirt jumps for some thrills. Although be careful extremely busy trail with bikers and hikers with children scattered all along the trail. I ran into 10 or so bikers and 5 or so groups of people with kids. The view of the lake is nice.

Summary:
I am writing this review to confirm that the earlier reviews are still descriptive of this trail as of May 2009. I enjoyed this trail a great deal and am happy to report that the trail is in great shape and well marked. While it may not be the most technically challenging trail in the area, it does have several long climbs and will challenge your fitness level. Other than that, check out the other reviews for more detail about the trail. Enjoy!

Summary:
New trail is being built. Phase one will reconstruct one small bridge, build two new bridges in the low areas and then we will add 1.5-2 miles to the interior of the existing loop. We have phase 2 that is approved will add an additional 3/4 mile and make approx 7 mile system. IF you have ideas for the area or want to help check the SORBA Chattanooga calendar for work days.

Summary:
More trail to ride now. SORBA is adding several more miles and a couple of bridges. The loose hill that erodes has been taken out - trail rerouted around it. Still a blast. Watch out for poison oak.

Summary:
Twisty single track, some roots, moderate climbs & decents...The lower portion tends to flood after heavy rain. All in all a good trail to hit after work if you live near by & are pressed for time, but not something I would waste a free Saturday on.

Recommended Route:
I ride the lolipop portion counter clockwise...just get out there & wander around.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
It is a shame there are not more trail near Chattanooga. There are so many places that have great potential but do not allow mountain bikes. Everyone has covered most of the XCish trails withing an hours drive, but I would put in Pigeon Mountain, Iron Mountain, Sumac, & Wendy Gap- they are not as manicured as the Ocoee/ Chilhowee trails and offer a few more log crossings, technical sections.
