Warriors Path State Park

The trails are a series of loops that can be ridden individually or all together for a longer ride. The Zip Line and the Whitetail loop are for all skills and the Boneyard and Darwin's Revenge are a little more advanced. Having said that, all trails are very rideable with some technical sections on the more advanced ones that will test your balance and coordination. All trails are rolling, 99% singletrack with a few very short climbs and fast twisty sections that are an absolute blast.

Summary:
This trail system is a blast. I have only hit them one time. Im from from this area but have been living in Chattanooga(which has many great trails), but when i heard of Warriors I had to do it up. The trails have a wide range of skill level. Some of the trails have lots of rocks and trees, but they are fun. Sometimes I had to walk through some areas but it was still well worth it. Its a great workout and a blast. there are many switchbacks, ruts, rocks, woop-de-doos, and there are a wide range of obstacles to go through. I had some trouble in some areas with alot of steep uphill sections on some of the trails. That was prob just me not being in the greatest shape. But there are many climbs and downhill sections that are fun. Also flying down the single track between small gaps between trees keeps you on ur toes and adds excitement. Overall the trails are really good and worth the ride. They could use some improvement and possibly a freeride course added to it. To me though nothing is totally perfect and could always use some improvement. have fun if u hit it up. there is also really good scenery to.

Recommended Route:
I started taking the magic carpet ride and just took it all the way around up by darins trail and ended up doing about 75% of all the trails there. I dont remember the names to well. But I would recommend starting at the trail behind the big trail sign and work ur way around in order to end the ride with a downhill on the Magic Carpet Ride. Its tough going up, but fun going down with some jumps and areas to catch some air. just look at the trail maps and figure out what skill area u want to start with and just hit them all. Even if some areas are to hard for u just do it anyways and it will increase ur confidence to get better and braver.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
There are some cool trails behind ETSU. I would totally recommend if you are out in the Chattanooga area to go to the Whitewater center at the OCOEE and CHILHOWIE state park. ALso raccoon mtn in Chatt. they have some of the best trails in the US and are all kept up great with good trail markers. Besides that some of the best scenery u will ever come across. You will not regret it.

Summary:
This is my second time riding this trail and I love it. I was here back in December when the weather was cold and wet and had a great time and I just rode here again memorial day weekend when it was mostly hot and dry and loved it even more. Someone recently cut back all the high grass and weeds on the powerline crossings which was much appreciated. Thanks to the locals who maintain this trail.

Recommended Route:
I rode Darwin's revenge to boneyard to rock city to white tail. Climbed up fire road and hit ridge top to magic carpet for a nice decent back to the lot. From there I hit the zip line back down to do a second lap around white tail(where I temporarily lost my skill and went over the bars on a switchback, knew I should of only done one lap!!)

Summary:
This is a great trail system with many loops for different skill levels. I have ridden a rigid single speed and a full suspension rig on all of the trails and find both ways fun. All are well groomed trails, but there are plenty of log piles/crossings and rocky sections to keep it challenging. Did crash there once and had to walk out. Trail volunteers took good care of me once I got to the parking lot. Great people who work hard to keep these trails open.

Recommended Route:
Just take a good look at the trail map at the trail head to pick pick what loop/loops you want to do.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Iron Mountain Trail outside of Damascus, VA. About 40 min up US-81.

Summary:
Great set of trails. A big thank you out to the local Northeast TN Mt Bike club for building and maintaining these trails. Being from out of town it was a piece of cake to find the trail head since there are signs at every intersection from the park entrance to the trail head. Every trail I rode was fun, I liked them all!!

Recommended Route:
Darwins Revenge to Boneyard to White Tail to Ridgeline to magic carpet back to parking lot. The only bad thing about this is that you miss the zip line which was is an extremely fun trail down to the white tail. I did not ride rock city, however you could easily throw that in right after the boneyard.

Summary:
Its an awsome trial!! Darwins Regenge and Bone Yard are the best, they have tons of rocks and roots. After you do a long trail, end it with Magic Carpit Ride. Its a smooth, winding, fast trail right to the parking lot.

Recommended Route:
Darwins, Bone Yard or both

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Steeles Creek
