The trail is somewhat hilly and technical. Roots and rocks here and there. There is a creek also.

Summary:
this is becoming a great local trail, especial if you dont have time to drive somewhere. i have been riding it for a little over 6 years now, and this trail has taken a change for the best. it really has turned around in the past 2 years. "Friends of Rotary" has done a great job. the trails are pretty smooth for the most part, the new ones are still being broke in. theres not a lot of mileage, but there are different loops which you can turn into a pretty fun ride. its mainly XC, but there are some short moderate climbs and decents which can be fun. a few cool jumps and a new log pyramid helps out a little too. i hear signs should be going up and also a map should be coming out sometime to help out, but its hard to get lost here. a great place to ride after work during the week.

Recommended Route:
no certain way, i always mix it up. there are 2 new primary loops on the left of the road when entering, and a new trail in the back by the boyscout bridge. dont forget about the trail on the right side of the road when you enter rotary also. i always park at the first parking lot on the left when entering the park.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
if you have time to drive monty bell, LBL, HC, or lock 4.

Summary:
In November of 2005 Rotary Park took a direct hit from a strong F2 tornado. It bounced all around the park doing damage in several areas. The park was closed until August of 2006. During that time, the county hired loggers to remove a lot of the debris and damaged trees. They cut logging roads that destroyed a lot of the trail network. Friends of Rotary Park is working hard to get some old trails reopened and new trails built. Currently between 1 to 2 miles of singletrack has been reopened or built. All new trial is built using IMBA specifications.

Recommended Route:
Upon entering the park, you will find Pavilion I on the left. This is currently the starting point for all of the new trail. When facing the pavilion, the trailhead for the small loop is on the left. This loop is approximately 1 mile long and loops back around to Pavilion I. There are no signs up yet so once on the trail, keep going right. Across the street from Pavilion I is another trailhead. This trail will take you to Pavilion II. The trail is less than a mile long but will eventually be part of a larger loop. As of today, half of it is not completely clear for bike use. It should be open by October. Both of these trails are/will be similar to trails found in Montgomery Bell State Park. I am basing my review below only upon the trail that is currently open and rebuilt.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Montgomery Bell State Park and Canal Loop in the Land Between the Lakes National Recreational Area.

I wish someone local had updated the review section and mentioned the park is CLOSED until further notice. I travel all over the SE and rely on this site to pick a spot to ride after a long day on the road. Park is chained and off limits!!

Summary:
Big changes at Rotary Park. The Tennessee Trails Association and the local mountain bikers have teamed up to create a vol. group (Frineds of Rotary Park). The trails are currently being re-routed and a "main loop" is being created. The builders, including the hikers, are all using the IMBA trial guide so these trails will last. Not only that, they are a lot of fun. Washed out fall-line trails are being replaced with contour trails complete with dips and switchbacks. If you have not ridden here lately, come ride the new trails.

Recommended Route:
Enter at the front of the park, take either the right or left trail head.
