Take your pick! There are more trails up here then you can shake a stick at. Not much of a point trying to discuss them all here(I'm no novelist). You got your jeep roads, some singletrack, good climbing and descending, nice views, technical riding, yadda yadda yadda. The whole gamut is right here.
Summary: If you are not afraid to mix some pavement into your ride, try this one.
Basically, a climb up the mountain on hwy 127 (3.5), beeline out tower drive to the bluff (long way), ride along the bluff and woods on double, then bomb down to the river on ATV trail. Is then about 10 miles back on the dreaded "river road". You are then back on 27.
4 hours if fit, all day if not.
Recommended Route: Park at the Boat ramp on 27 a couple miles before the climb. Head towards the 'Coop and start a climbing on 27. Turn left into Prentice Cooper and stay on Tower until she ends (at least an hour), enjoy the view and turn right. Ride this double track staying to the left at all intersections, rights will loop back to tower. eventually, you will be dropping off the mountain to Mullins Cove Road, take a left and enjoy the river road back to 27 (10 mi), you will be at the base of the climb. Hang a right and spin it out back to the boat ramp.
Sicko, but my standard big time traing loop at the 'Cooop.

Summary: This is a fantastic all around wheeling spot. You've got light terrain, medium - tough, and stuff you'd be lucky to see the other side of. Fun for the whole family (yeah, cheezy, I know)
Recommended Route: Don't really have a favorite. I just let my wheels lead me.
Other recommended trails in the same area: Don't know of any...most that I can think of are up towards Knoxville...

Ridden Trail: Ridden Once

Summary: Seems to be an old jeep or ATV road that no one uses anymore (didn't see any tire tracks). Mostly dirt trail with a lot of small scattered gravel sections and small but deep sand areas. Some technical climbs and descents, but all short. The end of the trail is a really gravely and deep sandy road with lots of ATV tracks. We tried to bike up it to the left but sucked, so we road the trail back, which was more fun and a lot faster than it was coming (though it's not really uphill one way or another). Good trail, but will probably leave you wanting to bike more. Took us about an hour and a half. Probably 4-5 miles long, but that's just a guess... can't find that trail on a map. Worth riding though.
Recommended Route: Go all the way to the end of the gravel road and ride Pot Point. Go right at the 1st fork til you get to the pond. Look for the dirt trail to the right just after you go around the pond.
Other recommended trails in the same area: Chilhowee ( esp. Slick rock, Azelia, Benton Falls, Clemmer), Booker T

Ridden Trail: Ridden Once

Summary: Again, went out on this trail with the Chattanooga Bike Club on Saturday. Had a great time. Dont know where we rode but it was mostly double track and jeep trails with a nice stretch of steep switch back single track. This place is big, and I have a feeling I only touched the tip of the iceberg. Only concern was the number of ATVs we ran into. Will certainly return on my next trip down.
Recommended Route: Not sure - we started at persimmons, looped around back to the Tower road, headed off down some more jeep roads that took us to some nice singletrack which looped around to the Tower Road again.
Other recommended trails in the same area: Pigeon Mountain, Edwards Point

Ridden Trail: Once a month

Summary: The trail ridden this way is technical. It gives you fast rutted downhills, some 2 and 3 foot drops, several creek crossings, some short steep rocky climbs, and a few jumps. To go down as much as you do, the climbing out doesn't seem like much. To skip the gravel road back, take the dirt rd. behind the cemetary. It's rolling, not quite as fun, but better than gravel. Get a map... explore the area.
Recommended Route: Persimmon os on the right. Start there and take the first right. It loops back around to a 4 way. Cross it still going straight. Keep right everywhere after that and it comes out at the cemetary.
