4 miles west of Rapid City on Highway 44. First parking area on the left after the Black hills national forest sign. Newly built by BHMBA in the last couple years. Intermediate to advanced. Well marked and impossible to get lost on.

Summary:
its a hoot! you can mostly single track with a small bit of fire raod.intermediate to advanced skill levels. like the guy before said,be carefull of the rocks and run lots of air pressue. very close to town and really a fun ride for anyone. rocky.

Recommended Route:
i either climb up pretty buzzard or take the fire road up he center.if you take the fire road up its only about a mile of lung splitting climb followed by a short hike a bike to the top.hang follow the downhill for two miles to the bottom or a shortride or climb again for more.elvis is a lot of fun also buzzards roost loop is too.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
m hill skyline drive,centennial loop 15

Summary:
Bring spare tubes!! Overall this trail was a lot of fun i do however wish there was a more of a DH section. Primarily an XC trail with rocks galore, as i mentioned before bring a few spare tubes the rocks along the trail have some sharp edges to them that seem to sit perfectly between your rim and tread. The climb to buzzards roost wasn't anything to hectic just watch out for buried rocks that cause some rear tire slippage or you will be rockin the hike-a-bike. once you get to the top you get a pretty amazing view of the area and there is a tub attached to a rock with a sign in sheet. The trail is primarily a single track switch back course that can be taken as a loop based on comfort level. The trail head provides a detailed trail map, if you are like me i prefer to have the map with me so i know what trails i'd like to do again go to BHMBA.com and they have a printable trail map as well as a terrain map. This trail is great if you want to work on sighting your line as you ride with all the rocks. and there are trails that suit all levels of riding.

Recommended Route:
check out the trail map and make your own route! when we rode we did a couple loops of varying degrees of difficulty.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
