Ridden Trail: Ridden Once

Cross Country Rider Summary: This is a nice 7.5 mile singletrack trail. Came out from SC to ride the Black Hills, and this was the first trail. You gradually climb up to the Big Hill Trail. Coming back is a nice, fast gradual downhill with one very short steepie in the middle. Met the guyts who appear to be some of the trail advocates out there. Good job guys. Keep up the good work.

, from Mitchell, SD Summary: This is a pretty sweet ride. The trail is all singletrack and can easily be ridden by all levels of riders. I would make one recommendation when coming back down the gravel road after you have ridden the trail; take a right hand turn onto the rocky road where you parked and ride it down to your vehicle instead of taking the main gravel road. If you have ever done Porcupine Rim in Moab this rocky, bouncy ride down will bring back some memories. Other recommended trails in the same area: Crow Peak, Old Baldy, Little Spearfish, Rim Rock

, from Billings, Mt Summary: Great piece of single-track. Beautiful country and the trail goes for miles. Not too difficult but enough that it is interesting and if you aren't paying attention, you could end up in a heap of trouble. There are a few switchbacks and some very tight sections. Be sure to take a good mud tire as it can rain and the dirt packs in the tread pretty good. It doesn't build up but I had Panaracer FireXCs and they were pretty ineffective because they don't shed well. Also, the trail is easy to miss. When you get on the fireroad, the trail is right at the beginning. I stopped at the LBS and they didn't make that clear and I rode by it. If you've gone more than 50 yards, you've gone by the single track and it doesn't connect with the fire road for a ways. It is literally right at the beginning of the road. Also lots of service roads in the area that are fun, especially coming down. Recommended Route: Only two ways, up and then back. Other recommended trails in the same area: Centennial trail

, from Bountiful, UT USA Summary: This trail has it all. Fallen logs and tight trees make it exciting. The trail is up and down. Not just up and then down like the trails here in Utah. It has some steep climbs but they are usually shorter. It is a kick in the seat. Other recommended trails in the same area: Lookout mountain in Spearfish
