Ridden Trail: Every few months

Cross Country Rider Summary: This trail is what is left for biking in an area that once had great riding before the adjoining area was designated as a Wilderness Area in 2002.
This is a fun hot day ride as it's in the bottom of a canyon and you will get wet. The trail is easy single track with only a little bit of challenge at the stream crossings.
Unfortunately, this area has become a riding area with few options. The only real management change associated with the Wilderness designation was eliminating mountain bikes--and this was an area that few people rode anyway. Recommended Route: Out and back. When the trail ends, keep riding on the gravel road up through Camp Remington for some extra distance in a cool, dark canyon. If you get to the Needles Highway, the Centennial Trail continues south for some good riding.
Keep out of the Wilderness--it is well signed. Other recommended trails in the same area: Centennial trail--especially in northern Custer State Park.
Grace Coolidge trail in Custer State Park.
Storm Mountain near Rockerville.
Mickelson Trail.
