As of Feb.11th this trail is still under construction but 3.5 miles are ridable. All single track. This is completley different from all the other trails at Harbison. Lots of turns, dips, and fun singletrack.

Summary:
Rode this trail for the first time the other day, kinda of technical but nothing very difficult. It's nice to have so many routes that you can take so your rides can be varied. Look foward to riding it again. Slower than the other trails and it does not have the loose stone on it like some of the other trail have. The climbs were shorter the other trails.

Recommended Route:
It's a loop, follow the signs.

K3

Summary:
Lost Creek Trail is in Harbison Forest in Columbia. The trail is only about 3 years old. In the last year it has been markedly improved by installation of small bridges, etc. It is quite technical, but is rideable by most riders. Occasional riders will find it very difficult. It is a 5 mile loop with many whoop-te-dos. It's closed now because of wet weather but is usually open.

Recommended Route:
I prefer counter-claockwise.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Spiderwoman 2 is also in Harbison and is more technical. Similar work-out in just 2.5 miles.

this trail is totally fun.. so much different then the other trails at harbison.. tight and twisty, just a really fun ride. i recommend riding it counter-clockwise. its fun either way really. goin clockwise you'll hit the better downhills by far... but counter-clockwise just flows so much better! just dont ride this trail after it rains please. Pretty Please!!!!! i think they should close the harbison trails this winter!!!! they will be destroyed!!!!

Recommended Route:
counter-clockwise

Other recommended trails in the same area:
lynches woodz, sassafras gap, killer 3 is good in da winter time cause there's not azs much sand

Summary:
I rode the lost creek twice this week when I was in the area. The trail was a little muddy but it was a great ride. It has several short decents and climbs that wide through what looks to be a old creek bed. I look forward to riding the trail when its dry. All that being said its the best trail I have ridden in this area. The new Spiderwoman trail a Harbison will be good when its through. The phase 1 is a pretty technical ride.

Recommended Route:
Start at parking lot in Harbison State park. Follow trail at end of parking lot all the way until it splits 3 ways go left and cross road " be carful cars are flying down that road" Trail head is on the other side. I have always rode the trail counter clockwise I don't think it will make a huge difference good ride either way.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Spiderwoman

Summary:
Best trail in Harbison. This trail cant hold a candle to most trails in and around Asheville, NC, but a huge improvement over the other trails in Harbison. Not worth a road trip or anything but if you live in the area a nice place to ride when you dont have the time or $$$ to go somewhere else.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Lynches Woods, Newberry
