Hard packed single trac everywhere you look. Some technical climbs but mostly middle chain ring kick butt stuff. Enjoy.

Summary:
I found the easiest way to get there is to leave downtown Clemson, go under the RR tressel, over the lake, then take a left onto old six mile road. Wind up the mountain then park in the lot next to the Issaqueen Dam Road (since you can't park at the bottom anymore). Take the trail to the right of said road then take the left fork. Fast downhills and nice stream crossings. Towards the second half of the trail, the views of the lake are spectacular. There is a rope swing towards the end if you break a sweat (which you will). The trail winds down to the bottom the Issaqueena Dam Road and you end up at the dam. NOW you have the climb the road which is by far the hardest part... Awesome ride; used to do it everyday after classes ---WARNING--- Watch out for horses! You'll get some good speed up and come around a corner just to staring at a horse's ass...

Recommended Route:
Dam. Rd.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
All the fire roads around and attached to the Dam Rd./ Dalton rd. Campus riding

I'm down from va working LOL. Rode the trail twiced so far and man I love it. I could go there every day it's got everything fast, slow, long fire roads uphills and the pucker factor along ridge with bank going down to the lake. but that's what it's all about. If you go remember that you start at the top of the hill. the downhills are fun but you do have to come back up to the top.

Summary:
Awesome network of trails! Single track, dirt roads, a little climbing, roots, rocks, screaming downhills, even a dual slalom course! There are so many trails all over this place that you need a map or a local to show you around, I think Sunshine Cycles in Clemson has pretty good maps. I have been riding here for probably 8 or 10 years & I have to say this is probably my favorite place in the area to ride! You can get 4 + hours in and really not ride the same trails twice.

Recommended Route:
Really all of, but the lake loop has to be the highlight!

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Bent Creek, Tsali, Conyers INTL Horse Park, Gainesville, GA.

Summary:
Great ride, so many trails to choose from. Only negative I have is the horses on the trail.

Here is a link to the local clubs web site, there are some very good maps of the trails here. http://www.gcmbc.com/main.html

Recommended Route:
You got to do the Issaqueena Dam Trail. Beautiful views, and a fun ride. From the trail head take a right, follow the trail downhill, lots of fun jumps, rocks, and roots. When you come to a trail marker, I like to take the Lawerence Trail to the Dam Trail. For a change of pace and to hit several jumps from the entrance go to the left parrell to the fireroad, called Collarbone.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Paris Mountain
