Summary:
Its OK at best, not technical and sandy, typical of the area. But for around here it isnt bad. There should be a group ride w/ all these people riding around here. Could do a race of some sort just to make it interesting.

Recommended Route:
Left side of the road has a few "techincal" sections that make it somewhat interesting. Anyway you go you'll always end up on the same route.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
C-town has some decent stuff.
M.B. SUCKS for mountain biking!

Summary:
WARNING! Someone has gone in and removed most of the roots on this trail. Unfortunately, that means massive erosion. This trail is mainly sandy and washed out. I've riden this trail for five years and this is the worst I've seen it. We've installed some water bars but it hasn't helped too much. This trail was always pretty easy but its a shame to see it so messed up 'cause its all we have in the area. We'll continue to try and fix what's left. sand 95%, hardpack 5%

Other recommended trails in the same area:
i've heard stuff about the mb air base but I haven't been there.

Summary:
i love it. i'm not very experienced and it took me a while to learn to make it over the log jump things, but it is a challenging and fun trail for beginners and intermediates.
just watch out for men running through the woods putting their pants back on.

Recommended Route:
just go and get lost. enjoy the journey, not the destination.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
old air force base. needs some work, but still very fun. kind of like a shorter version of the pits. i still miss it so.

Summary:
Trails are good but you find yourself crossing back over ones you have already been on. But still fun.
Small kids may have trouble on the trails on the left side of the road

Recommended Route:
Trails on the left side of the paved road are definitely rougher and lots more fun. But trails on the right side of the road have a few logs on them that can be ridden over. I an a beginning mountain biker and found both side easily ridden but there was a gully on the right side that caused me to crash and burn. But like I said I am a beginner riding a $10 yard sale special mountain bike. Scenerey is very nice out on the board walks over the marsh and out to the waterway.

Summary:
People have a hard time judgeing the distance on these
trails because they are so inter-connecting, but I usually ride about 8 miles each outing without much backtracking. These trails are not the hills of West
Virginia where I am from, but they sure beat the pavement! Beginners would be better off starting on the right side trails off the road. The left side has alot more climbs and downhill sections. The turns can be pretty tight on the left as well. If you go in the early morning, and no one is there, break the rules and go across the board walks out to the inter-coastal waterway and watch the boats. I really enjoy these trails but I suspect one reason is because there are no other trails around.

Recommended Route:
Trails to the left are usually rougher. The right side
trails are somewhat flatter.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
None
