Cross Country Rider Summary: Easily accessible trail from I-95 and I-26. If you are traveling to or from Charleston it is a great stop off. Trail is not technically difficult, so there are lot of opportunities to get speed. Not many climbs. The trail is primarily flat. Also, the trail is somewhat sandy. Overall, not a bad trail for a relaxing ride. Recommended Route: Signs are posted, however about halfway through they get a little sketchy so pay attention. Other recommended trails in the same area: Sesqui State Park is another good interstate stop off, however I think that Santee is better overall riding.

, from Miami, Fl Summary: The park itself is beautiful. If you are visiting, check out the camping cabins and the story behind how the lakes were created. As for the trail? Ho-hum at best. The designated biking path is wide and grassy with no obstacles (bring your hybrid!) The hiking trails to the right and left are more fun, but I don't think you are supposed to ride them. (I was bored, what can I say?)

, from Charleston Summary: Great single & double track, some sections pretty technical, most pretty easy. Good work out and a great ride with friends. For the distance from Charleston to fun ratio, beats anything in Francis Marion Park of Charleston. Recommended Route: From the boat ramps back track towards the entrance and take the bike trail. Keep going past the end, keep the water off your left shoulder, and make your way back to I95. Other recommended trails in the same area: Marrington Plantation in Goose Creek. Not the greatest, but the best in the Charleston area. Keeps your skills up and your legs in shape.
