Ridden Trail: Ridden Once

Cross Country Rider Summary: Just hit this one up on a nice, dry saturday afternoon. Trail was nice. Technical and windy, yes. Marked all that well, no. You can get a bit confused if your trying to follow a certain route. It is pretty tight in a lot of corners (busted my @$$ when a tree caught my foot). About 4 or 5 downed trees but they were big-uns so I don't want to sound negative for those who actually take the time to maintain it. I will ride it again when I get burned out on Harbison again...

Weekend Warrior Summary: I rode this for the first time. I am a true weekend warrior, and I would say this trail is not really technical. A few rocks, roots, and whoop-de-do's, but that's it. And it is REALLY twisty with many sections that double back almost right on top of the previous section. It is reasonably well marked, but needs better marking to let you know where you are along the trail. All that said, it is in a beautiful section of woods, surprising since it is surrounded by a lot of treeless spaces. I'd ride it again. Other recommended trails in the same area: Either go south to Columbia and Harbison State Forest, or north to Greenville for Paris Mountain State Park

Weekend Warrior Summary: I ride this trail often & it had several trees down last month but I rode 12/26 & 12/27 & a great deal of maintenance had been done in that time. I just wanted to say thank you to who ever put in the effort to rake & cut downed trees. Your work does not go unnoticed or unappreciated.

Cross Country Rider Summary: I was going to rate it a 3, but decided I need to give the trail more of a chance during another season. First off, in late October there are LOTS of pine needles on the trail so that limited my speed--bummer, because I could see how it would be fun to go faster. Other than the one creek crossing sort of near the beginning of the trail, I wouldn't really call this 'technical'. A few small rock gardens but not hard at all. The short, steep climbs weren't really HARD to get up, but they annoyed me because they just pop up and suck up your speed. Climbs are not long enough to be a real aerobic climb, and they aren't steep/rocky/rooty enough to be hard... they're just there. Other than that, it's very twisty and very tight. I think there is one 'drop off' which is about a foot or so.

Ridden Trail: Every few months

Cross Country Rider Summary: Rode this trail for the second time on Saturday. Didn't seem as technical as it was in October.
There were a number of downed trees and overgrown vegetation, but overall the trail wasn't in too bad of shape. Other recommended trails in the same area: Nothing else in the immediate area that I know of.
