Summary:
I'm not sure why this is called Snapper Run, because I can't find a Snapper Run anywhere nearby (??). But it is a fun out and back ride to Crystal Lake on mostly rocky single and quad track (that used to be singletrack). It is mostly on State Game Lands, so be aware during hunting season!

Recommended Route:
I leave from the small SGL parking area on Tunnel Road. This is a confusing trail to try to give directions to, and not a good place to get lost, but e-mail and we can let you know when the next ride will be.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
7-tubs, Dead Deer Run in Mtn. Top.

Summary:
Ride through the neighborhood toward Fountain Lake. When you get to end of road take a right behind little out buildings. Follow trail across creek until you hit the gas line(on left and right)take a left and begin to explore or go straight until you hit the gameland road. Lots of stuff off these trails. Crystal Lake, Arbutus Peak, Stony Cabin Ridge, Jimmy Kane Swamp, ect, ect. Load up your 70 oz Camalback, bring a PowerBar and ride for 3-5 hours. Just remember how to get back to your vehicle.....You will potentially see bears, I saw one last week along the power line! Lots of fun up on these mountains, Pls pack out what you bring in, the area is clean.

Recommended Route:
There are lots of ways to access this area. One that works for me is to start at Glen Summit.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Brown Street Area, Seven Tubs, Giants Despair,

Summary:
this area has many single- and double tracks and a lot of rough terrain. there are a lot of short climbs and descents and most of the single tracks have a lot of rock gardens, some stream crossings, and other technical stuff. you can ride all day long and just keep finding new trails. the whole area is quite large and i rarely ever see another person out there.
while there are some roads and double tracks suitable for beginner to intermediate riders, the single tracks are best suited for riders with good bike handling abilties.

Recommended Route:
explore, it's good for you
