A new and expanding trail system of handbuilt singletrack. Not much technical, but very curvy twisty trails. Well marked and beautifully constructed. check out http://sambabiker.com for maps and more info.

Summary:
Nice place for a good workout. I live only a few minutes from the place, so I hit it up over lunch quite often.
A "full loop" will net you about 9.5 miles. If you are looking for technical riding, or skill level improvement, you will not find it here. This place is smooth. Hardtail or even rigid bike capable smooth. I think there may be a total of 3 logs that require getting off the saddle to go over, otherwise, you just ride over the others.
This place however, is capable of burning your lungs and legs until you swear you are tasting blood and your legs are numb. EXCELLENT place to do a good 9.5 mile long cardio/mountain bike ride.
I will continue to frequent these trails as I try to lose some weight and get back to my former racing glory!

Recommended Route:
My favorite path is "all rights".
If you want to ride the whole thing, you start at the lot, and at every intersection there is, you turn right. If you do that, you get a full 9.5 miles and cannot get lost. You can also do "all lefts" which you turn left at any intersection.
I like all rights because of the flow, and the climb when you come off of D trail onto C trail. It's a max heartrate climb for a good 3-8 minutes, depending on your strength, and I believe the only leg burning climb which has "no level or downhill" once you start, until you get to the top of it.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Mount Gretna

Summary:
Multiple singletrack loops. All are interconneted so you can enjoy the entire trail network. Similar to Alligrippies but with some trail obstacles(logs, etc.). Maintained by SAMBA (Sambabiker.com). Tuesday night group rides. Maps and directions are available on the SAMBA website.

Recommended Route:
Start at the parking lot at the bottom of State Park Road (off Rt.443.

Trail A, B, C, D, back to C (make right and go up hill), at "B" stay right and follow back to A. Add A1 or A2 (or both) on your way back to the parking lot.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Mt.Gretna (Governor Dick): more technical and more trail variety (single track, fire road, etc.)
