Summary:
Greatest Trail Ever (in my opinion)--I like rocks and roots (and this is ride able for everyone)--beginners and experts. It is like taking THE WISS in Philly, adding 5 miles and doubling the rocks!!

But take away 90% of trail traffic!!

Even between the trails there are really tight single track trails (between 5, 5a and 5b) that have no rocks, just a little roots but have the Best Single track at spots I have ever ridden!! It is Incredibly fun and also a great workout here!!!

If I built a trail THIS would be what I built (and Impossible to get lost--just keep riding the outside loop)
Also it is impossible to get lost here..

Recommended Route:
Anything here (different trails for different levels)--see what your level is.

Also there are the trails (between the listed trails like I have mentioned)

Other recommended trails in the same area:
THE WISS, Fair Hill

Summary:
I have been riding here since last summer and I think the trails are well worth your time. Some are fast downhill and then steep climbs. Lots of rocks so watch out!

Recommended Route:
Start at the upper parking lot and make sure you hit the "new trail 4" Rusty Chair. This trail was built and the old one was shut down.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Gretna, Camp Mack, Swatara

Summary:
Stopped here after work today. I just starting riding and this was the first time I've ridden this trail. I had a blast. The downhills are fast and the climbs are grueling! There are lots of rocks! I'll be heading back here the next free chance I get. I rode trail 4-1-9-8-3. I spent about 35 min on this route. I'd like to spend some more time linking the trails up. http://www.epgsoft.com/MBYork/rockyridge.html

check out that link for a basic map of the trails. It was useful trying to find my way around.

Summary:
This is a great trail system for an afternoon or after work. Probably not enough length to keep you busy for a whole day. Nice mix of different terrain, rocks, downhill, and enough technical stuff to keep you coming back.

Recommended Route:
Park in front right lot, 5 (counter clockwise)-6-4-1-8-7 (finish up with a killer climb) This route is about 7 miles. Have fun!

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Redman, Gretna, Michaux

Summary:
These trails are some of the best in the area. They are short, however, you can link them all together for a good ride. Every trail offers a little of everything including, small drops, roots, rock gardens and hills. There's some good speed sections too. It's great for cross country and some of the trails are good for downhill/freeride bikes as long as you don't mind a small hike. This is some of the best "free" riding around.

Recommended Route:
Trails: 5,1,8,3,9

Other recommended trails in the same area:
lake redman
