Weekend Warrior Summary: The trails are old fire roads and are covered in small pebbles... Many loops can be made by connecting the trails. Some long gradual climbs with short steep climbs. Some technical sectoins with bridges, boardwalks, creeks, even an old quarry!
Stop at the Witches Hat Pavillion on top of Neversink to mark your halfway point...
Lots of great views and overlooks... Recommended Route: I start at Trout Run Sports Complex and make my way to the Schuylkill River Trail/Exeter Trail... Ride NW on the Exeter trail to the end.
Ride under the tunnel heading NE up the Klapperthal Trail and past Forest Hills Cemetery... Cross the first bridge and make a left over the second bridge onto Neversink South Trail heading west (This is a long gradual climb)... Take a break at the overlook right after the natural spring and take in the sights!
Continue your ride heading west on Neversink South Trail past Empire Wrecking Dump(Cleanfill) and take the West Woodland Trail N...
Make a right a head N on the Neversink North Trail... Stop at the Witches Cap Pavillion and take a break... It's all downhill from here!
Link up with the Upper Glen Trail heading S and follow back to the Klapperthal Trail...
Total ride is 9mi +/- depending on your exact route... Mostly gradual uphill with some short steep climbs. Mostly gravel trails with some dirt...
This trail is Berks Countys best kept secret! I've been riding these trails for 10 years and rarely see another person! Check it out! Other recommended trails in the same area: French Creek, Blue Marsh, Mt. Penn, Antietam, Bear Creek...
