Summary:
I am local to these trail(10miles) so I ride here every week. They are very torn up from all of the horse traffic so it's a little rocky and technical. There are still plenty of log crossings and rock bridges on the trails. My suggestion is to try the Jeep trail. It's a climb up the river hill also called pipeline trail. I ride single speed so it's a huge challenge. Gotta keep your head down and keep cranking. Overall I would say these trails are my favorite. So peaceful and quiet up here on week nights when the horses aren't out on the trails. Try them out if you haven't yet!!!

Recommended Route:
Windows and overlook are the most scenic but Jeep is the BIG TEST

Summary:
First an update! Only 13 miles of trail are now open to MTB and horses. Use the parking areas off Dennison Run Rd. If first Parking area is full of horse trailers!!!!!!!!!!!!!! there is another small parking area on the left just past the first.(too small for horse trailers) Map at TH and at http://www.neohbackpackingclub.com/mapLib/kennerdell_map.pdf Now for the good news, numerous and varying loops can be made, and riding everything available to MTB would take several hours and and at least 3 trips to the river. Large variety of trails from wide DT to technical ST.
Notes; Lower half of Bear Wallow should be renamed Pig Wallow (avoid); Blunder Trail is mostly a rock filled gully (rideable for the very skilled); Ridge trail down to the river is a blast; and finally the must ride trail is Window Trail (just a sweet XC cruise along the cliff.) Excellent views of the river when the leaves are down.
Even though the lot was full of horse trailers when I got back, I only meet 2 of them.

Summary:
The trails are open here I dont know what people are talking about. You can ride all over the top of the allegheny plateau and then mob down the ridge trail all the way to the Allegheny river. 90% single track and 10% double track. Most trails are free from horses (in fact I havent seen a horse on any of the trails I describe below), there are alot of log crossings and some technical rock gardens.

Recommended Route:
Park at the second parking lot on the right off Dennison Run Rd. Take pipeline trail to rock oak trail to window trail and you will find yourself at the top of the ridge trail ready to drop down all the way to the river. Once your at the bottom go down river along the forest service road. After you pass danner campground on your left...you will see the bottom end of the pipeline trail to your right. Dig deep because this is a long climb up to the top. It is rideable all the way to the top... if your in good shape. at the top hang a right and your just back tracking from here on out. This is just one of the loops that my friends and I enjoy.

Go to http://www.neohbackpackingclub.com/mapLib/kennerdell_map.pdf

This is by far the best map you can find of the area....better than the dcnr.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
There is a new unmarked trail off of fisherman cove trail, its off to the left and is well groomed with no horse travel and a nice rock garden to test your skills. It just loops back around and has some good views of the river below.

Just an update from my review below.

Recommended Route:
Do not take the Yahoo trail or anyhting up river from where the ridge trail drops down unles you like to hike-a-bike. The map indicates that there is a trail along the river to return to Kennerdale, there is no trail. It is about 2 miles of brush busting over rocks.
