Recommended Route:
Be advised that there is a Resevoir Road in Jim Thorpe itself, off 903 where the gun club is. THIS IS NOT THE RIGHT ONE. There are trails there but not good ones. You want to take 903 past Maury Road and all though way out the the Resevoir road that makes a right off of 903. This is not really in Jim Thorpe, don't plan on riding there from town.

Summary:
This trail (complex of trails) is a fun addition to the larger Jim Thorpe network, but it is not the main event. It does not have the more dramatic vistas and downhills of say the Broad Mtn or Pisgah. Further, I would say the trail is mostly intermediate and the advanced parts are few enough that they could be walked by the less skilled rider. What was particularly fun to me was that there are parts of these trails that are so untraveled that you feel like a trail blazer. I had to backtrack a few times to make sure I was still on the trail. There are other, perhaps many other trails that branch from Todd's trail and I look forward to exploring (with compass). Unfortunately, there are a number of sections where one can hear traffic on the Turnpike or 903 which detracts from the nature experience. Nevertheless, I will ride these trails in the future for the added variety they provide. I would give these trails a 3.5 rating, but since only whole numbers are allowed, I will reluctantly go to 3 so Todd and I average 3.5. Perhaps I am being to harsh, but future reviewers will refine this average appropriately.

Recommended Route:
Same as outlined by Todd, but there appear to be numerous other branches to be explored.

Summary:
Start throgh the gate & proceed down path for a mile or so. At the bottom you'll hang a right & follow it till you see the singletrack to your left. hop on that, but keep to your right till you hit the Bethlem watershed boundry trail.Proceed to your left on this rocky, rooted tail till you come down into a ravine. You will want to head to your right for about 25 or 30 yards then take tail to your left up a pretty steep climb [40 to 50 yrds.] It will level out, but then start an uphill climb agian .Keep going !It will slowly level out again. Stay on this trail till you come out to rt. 903. Once here go along side the woods heading south an hop back in on the left and proceed through twisty sigletrack till you come out at the bottom to widetrack & go left.Take this till you come to a rocky trail & proceed left & take this wider but rough trail to the very end always keeping to your left till the final widetrack turns back into a tight singltrack . Stay on this trail passing 2 trails that go left till you hit 3rd left, look for sawed off tree stump make a left this trail will take you back to the 1st widetrack off the trail down from 903 .Either head out to 903 & road it back or do it in reverse.

Recommended Route:
Take rt. 903 north to Resivoure rd. and make a right and go approx. 1/4 to 1/2 a mile and park near or by the gate on the right side of the road.
