Trail Directions
Take Rt 903 north out of Jim Thorpe into Penn Forest Twp. after passing resturaunt on top of Mountain called PB's Pub turn Left onto Behrens Rd approx 1/2 mile after resturaunt. Take Behrens rd for approx 2 miles you will pass large fields on left and eventually pass a horse stable, after passing stable go approx 1/4 mile and turn left into game lands parking lot and park car. Note: you will need 2 cars for this ride, park one car in down town Jim thorpe or one in the gorge does not matter. Go in main gate and stay on main trail for approx 1.5 miles, you will come to a gate at top of hill continue straight through gate and down the downhill section you will then go up a slight incline and come into a parking area and then into a T, at the T make a right rhtough the gate and continue straight, do not bear off to right on any of the access roads. After making right onto T you will go through a combo of flats and slight inclines. You will go passed a grassy clearing and then into a downhill section after the down hill section, you will directly straight across a grassy clearing stay straight and go onto the road. You will now make a right onto a secondary road away from main road. If you stay on main road this will take you to a nice overlook called Tank Hollow. After bearing Right onto secondary road continue staright on the grassy road, but use caution the rocks pop up on you, an dthe are hard to see because of the grass. Stay straight and continue on the single track, it gets thick with brish but it is easy to follow, Use caution in the wooded single track section it is very damp and the rocks are slick!! Once you get to the bottom you will come out onto a T, go Left and follow main trail until you come into Lehigh Gorge at Penn Haven. Follow Lehigh Gorge Trail back to Jim Thorpe, It is approx. 8 miles from this point. Note: If you intend on having more than 2 people in group, make sure you get into draft this will make the conclusion of ride alot easier. My avg. speed alone was 15.6 MPH, and in draft it increased to 24.3 MPH.

Summary:
Intermediate or expert if you take the full trail down into the gorge!
For any questions email me or stop in at Pocono Whitewater ask for me or Rod we will give you direction or if I'm not busy and it is Lunch time! I'll gladly ride it with you!

Recommended Route:
Follow all the direction s above until you get down the hill where it flats out (THIS IS ON THE GAME LANDS ROAD) Look for a bunch of ferns! There is a single track there! Nice ride out through here! It will tak you out to the other side of Tank Hollow! By far the best and least know out look in JT! Follow the single track through teh woods when the trail comes to a Triangel head to the right! This is a dead end so far that I have explored but the over look is awesome! I am working on a JT Web site that will have all my favortie and all the other rides availabe in the area!
