Awesome singletrack with great built up log crossings, drops, and a few creek crossings. The trails are marked very well and all loop around to the others. Great views of the lake as well as a chance to see wildlife and beautiful Pennsylvania woods.

Summary:
This is a fun trail network. Lots of winding singletrack, with some fast downhills, and nice climbs. Trails interloop with each other. Lots of rocks, logs and creek crossings. You can make a ride as long or as short as you'd like as all of the trails connect with one another at some point. Great for rider's of all levels. You can choose to challenge yourself, or if you aren't very confident, take your time and learn things in here.

Recommended Route:
I usually access the trail on Carverton road, but there is anothe access point on Green Road. Grab a map at the trailhead and pick a route suited for yourself.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
7-Tubs Natural Area, Plymouth Mountain

Summary:
These trails were fun! Rocks, roots, some nice decents. These trails are well maintained. A nice spot to ride if you are in the area but i would not reccomend planning a trip there unless you plan on camping and participating in the other outdoor activities the park has to offer.

Recommended Route:
Ride all of the trails! they are great!

Other recommended trails in the same area:
7 tubs nature area in Bear Creek twp.

Summary:
Fast, tight, quick, pretty technical and lots of fun. I grew up on these trails so I have somewhat of a bias. Its alot of fun in the fall...wet pine needles, leaves, and tree roots make for a good time.

Recommended Route:
You can enter through Carverton Road, but I like going in from Green Road before the main entrance to the park.

Summary:
Nice single track with rock build-ups for stream crossing, numerous log hops and build-ups. The trails loop around into each other, so getting lost is not an issue. The only bummer is that you want more, there is only about 5miles of trails. But you can string the loops together and ride them out and back in reverse to add variety and length to ride. I rode for two hours, got a great workout in and really enjoyed the technical sections.

If you are in that area, it is worth checking out. It is a quick ride from Wilkes Barre with easy access to the trails from Caverton Rd. The crew in that area put some quality time into those trails and you feel it during your ride.

Summary:
It's not often a PA state park will work with mountain bikers. So, after many years of this park being off limits, it's encouraging to see bikers and park administrators working together to designate and maintain some MTB specific trails. The west side of the park has many open trails for mountain bikes (get a new map, they are listed). Easy access from Carverton Road...just park at the gas line clearing a little west of the park lake access parking lot. Trails are wooded singletrack with twisty curves, roots, rocks and logovers. Whole lotta fun packed into a little area!

Recommended Route:
From Rt. 309, turn left onto Carverton Road. When you see state park boat launch on your left, hang a U-turn and backtrack a hundred yards or so to the gas line clearing which will now be on your right. First get a map at the park office if you've never been here before.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Merli Park, Lackawanna State Park, 7-Tubs Natural Area, Wilkes-Barre Mountain, Bear Creek Shuttle
