Uncrowded place to ride, excellent fast track, and some decent hills to climb... (free to, thanks for the ticket at wissahickon officer!)

Rode these trails for the second time..Nice but there is some work to be done with fallen trees. If anyone is up to cutting and opening the trail just south of the play area let me know...

Summary:
Hey, I don't know if anyone has noticed but there has been a freeride/DH section built in DG. Me and a couple of my buddies have been working back there for a while. We are trying to make this a spot that's close by, that has a lot.. A LOT to offer we already made berms, wood berms, flow jumps and drops. We can use all the help we can get. Remember it takes a lot of building for a lot of fun. So lets make this a legit mtb spot and not a place were kids drink and make DG look like a giant area full of trash!

I used to ride here a lot. Would love to know where the trails you are building are located. I would also love to help.

Summary:
This is not a destination ride. Don't ride here from Jersey unless your grandma lives here. This is a great spot for locals who want to get in a quick shred after work or first thing in the morning. I started riding minibikes here in the 70s, then graduated to motorcycles, left the area and came back riding mountain bikes. Some of the early trails are still there in some form, but the place has been transformed over the years, particularly in the last 5-6 years due to storm damage. Many downed trees, etc. There are a number of people, myself included, including motorcycle riders who have been working on and off to clear fallen trees, make new trails or improve the ones that are there. The place continues to improve and will only do so with participation. There are creek crossings, technical rocky sections, log crossings, bmx huck and roll section, etc. Hopefully some built tressels, log-top sections or see-saws will becoming soon if I get ambitious this winter.
As with any trail, the aerobic difficulty is what you make of it. Push harder for more workout.

Summary:
This place was created in the 1970's by DIRTBIKERS, well before someone decided to put fat tires on a 10 speed road bike. It was, it is, it always will be first and foremost a dirtbike place. ALL trails were created YEARS ago by someone blazing through on an XR250. Remember that. And nothing bushwacks better than a dirtbike, so the thorns dont tear precious spandex. EVERYONE is welcome to ride here no matter if it's piston power or 26" hardtail.

Summary:
I grew up about a mile and a half down Springfield Rd. from this spot and never went back there until this weekend when I decided to take my 13 year old nephew for his first MTB ride. Based on the reviews posted here, I didn't expect much and was pleasantly surprised. Having lived out west my whole adult life and cut my teeth as a rider out there, I'm probably a much more forgiving critic than someone who really knows all the local trails. That being said, I thought it was a gas: definitely a teenage party spot with all the detritus to prove it, and definitely not a destination ride, but if I still lived with my parents, I'd be there 3 times a week. Nice shreddy snarl of pretty well marked singletrack interspersed with some wicked bermed out jumps for the BMX set. Good times.

Recommended Route:
Park at the Home Depot, go left out of the parking lot and look for the trail on your right.
