Summary:
This is a note to all the locals that ride the Brickerville area. Be very careful of riding in the game lands, as the game commision has closed a lot of the more popular access trails, and are "gunning" for us. Just be more creative in how you get to the deeper trails that are open, and stay off of "Little Canaan", they are really watching that trail. The fine is steep, and they are not messing around.

Recommended Route:
All things pumping station

Summary:
The riding on the side of the mountain opposite the boy scout camp is excellent. I highly recommend crossing 322 for the more challenging riding. Definitely recommending taking an entire day to explore all of the trails on both sides of 322.

Recommended Route:
park in the pumping station parking lot, enter trail to the left of the entrance. Follow trail parallel to 322. Cross 322 and head up the steep hill to the fire road. Take any trail head off the fire road down the hill.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
French Creek, Blue Marsh

Summary:
I rode this trail for the first time. Very nice mixture of long rides, uphills and technical downhills. I recommend riding the fireroads to the top and taking the trails heading toward the rocks. Ask anyone riding there how to find the rocks. This trail is awesome, not recommended for people without atleast front suspension. Be sure to sign in at the ranger station. They like to know who is out on the trails. They will also provide a much needed map, as this place encompasses several private and public grounds depending on the season. Wear your orange outfit if you venture into the public hunting grounds. I don't know of anyone being shot, but this is PA :)

Recommended Route:
3 Miles west of 501 & 322 intersection.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Ride all of them, Rocky ridge (york), County Park (Lancaster)

Summary:
The Horseshoe trail has a great amount of both single-track and technical riding areas. Lots of firm rocks for high speed descents. Some tricky areas but mostly a moderate sloped trail. From beginning to end it takes about 45 min.to ride at a moderate pace.

Recommended Route:
Facing the North side of Rt.322,take the trail to the right side of the Hammercreek river- follow this trail straight, for approx. 3 miles until you get to a steep sandy road running right and left. Go right to the top of the hill until you see a sign for "Horseshoe Trail" on your right. Take that trail. (It will eventually lead you back to the parking lot if you go straight.)

Other recommended trails in the same area:
I would also recommend the other half of the Horseshoe trail beginning at the top of the South mountain Fire Tower road and making its way to the pumping station road.
