Hilly and fast. Some steep climbs and nice downhills and lots and lots of rolling single track

Summary:
Mt. Gretna has great trails and it is a relatively large area to bike. Some of the trails are too rocky to bike on but the majority are great and you can get going fast. Gov. Dick is great and has the best trails. The trails surrounding the mountain/hill are good for cross country biking, but if you are looking for some downhill, it is worth the climb to the top of Gov. Dick to the tower. Finally, there is a well kept soot rail trail along the bottom of the mountain which is great for a fast-paced, fun ride.

Recommended Route:
Park in the educational area and start either way, up the steep path to the tower, or the rockier trail on the other side. Both have several good longer trails splitting off the main trail.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
The Millcreek Area

Summary:
A good mix of singletrack and crazy fast access roads (trail #10!) that makes for a decent afternoon of riding. The single track can get pretty technical at points because it is so rocky that it resembles a cobbled street but that is my only real complaint.

Summary:
Things have changed over the years. This year a new trail was opened that is a great challenging run. It intersects with Trail 13 and the new parking area off of Pinch Rd. If you havn't been there in a while you should go and see for yourself.

Recommended Route:
Park at Nature center and head down new trail off of driveway then loop around Trail 13 and go back the other way on new trail

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Brickerville, Rocky Ridge, Lake Redman/Williams

Summary:
fun place to ride with lots of trails. some are really tehnical(#4) and some are fun tight rolly singletrack. still exploring the area though. Found some nice drops and REALLY fast sections- bouldering spot too. I think with a good map this spot is A+. watch out for overgrown sections-thorns a plenty

Recommended Route:
park at the gov. dick lot on pinch road and start exploring. fun on both sides of the road.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
not from the county

Summary:
A nice climb to the top but the downhill is well worth it.
Lot's of rolling singletrack and even downhill trails in some places. The best trails are off the main horseshoe trail. Some of them have been banned because of injury but you'll figure that out when you get there. Great for all skill levels.

Recommended Route:
Get off 322 on butler road. Keep going and get on 117 to the right. Then go up Pinch road to your left, Gov. Dick is on your left at the top of the hill.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Railroad bed
