Weekend Warrior Summary: These directions are apparently for State Game Lands #57, located on the North Mountain and the North Mountain Plateau which run from Red Rock all the way east to Noxen, south to 118 and north to Meshoppen. This area is huge! Sorber Mountain is really off of Sorber Mountain road where there are some hiking trails dedicated to Joe Gmitter, founder of a hiking club. Sorber Mountain is not all that great for mountain bike riding. There are many single track and fire road trails on SGL 57, but there is no map and no cell phone reception. Find somebody who knows where they are going if you want to ride here (or e-mail me). Also note that no camping is allowed according to SGL regulations. Actually, neither is mountain biking, but let's not go there... Recommended Route: Find a local who knows where they are going. This is not a good place to get lost or run out of food/water. The access road described is a poorly maintained dirt road and a 4x4 might be a good idea to get in there. See review for "North Mountain" for more info.
