Trail is singletrack wide with some easy climbs. One section has an old road that rides like a bowl (down one side up the other side with out pedaling). It has two creek crossing, which normally in summer is dry. Trail was built dec to march 2002 and maintain by local Pennsylvania IMBA club RCST.

Trail Directions
This trail is located inWeiser State Forest. There are about four different direction to come into this forest, so either look at a PA map or go to the RCST website and get some detailed directions. The trail head for this trail is on Lukes Road (dirt road). If you're driving from Lykens up the hardtop road, pass the town park and water shed, it's the first dirt road on the right side. There is now a parking lot located there. Go down dirt road about .1 mile and trail is on the right side (6 foot sign with Doc Smith).

Summary:
This trail we use to call it "Balloon string" . We spent alot of time cutting this one in since it drops you down to the creek area. This trail is great for a full suspension trail and has a few 2' drop offs.

One section has a "bowl" drop off, which use to be the Luke road in early 1900's. Keep an eye open for rattlesnakes in july, and august because they are very common on this trail. We have one good technical section that crosses a creek with a rock ledge (we try to rock crib this section) that will give you a challenge.

Recommended Route:
Riding either direction is blast. I park out in the parking lot area at the start of lukes road and ride both direction on my ride.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Rattle creek trail, fawn kill, Wolf pond, dry run, rugged, and rock's ridge.
