Two Mile Run State Park
6 reviews

Very rocky trails, pretty narrow. Body armor when its wet is appropriate. Full suspension all the time is appropriate. There aren't any long climbs, which also means there aren't many long downhills either. But there are at least 15 miles of trail and due to the technical aspect the trail has to offer because of the rocks, the 15 miles will push your stamina. Out of the 17 peopole that I rode with, all of us went down at least once during the 4 hour ride. There is plenty of camping available at the State Park. There are a few houses to rent out for the weekend. We had about 15 people in the house. I paid $25 for both nights and that included my food and beer! The farmhouse is highly recommended! These trails are close to Kenerdell, another excellent trail to ride while visitng 2 Mile Run.

Summary:
I dont know if anyone has ridden this trail in the past year or so but it sucks now. The park was taken over by some independent park compainy called parks unlimited who logged everything and put in gas wells. They are getting a bunch of money off of the land and not putting anything back into the trails. They are not being kept up with and because they logged it you cannot hardly find your way around.

Summary:
The riding get's good right out of the gate from any where in the park. There is a loop around the lake , a loop around the camp, and a loop around the feeder stream to the lake, with many small loops off the large general trials. We always say if one comes to a road with lines painted on it, turn and go back or keep the lake on your right or on your other right and one will cicyle-circle. It seems the park is surrounded by roads on all sides except down stream and very far below the dam one can tell he or she has left the park. The whole thing being in a 8-10 mile triangle.I would rate these trails from total beginer, around the swimming area,to good old free-cross half track with lite hills. This area is popular with trail runners and horsers so there is a need to share the trails, but very seldom. This is a perfect place to enjoy soom out doors privatly on a lite ride or hammer this free-cross half trak to the valley of the pooped.

Recommended Route:
We usually start at pioneer flats but ther is good parking and access to trails all over the park. Along all the roads are small pulloffs and trails not far.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Kenerdall Clear Creek, Cornplanter State park, for the roadies Oil Creek R to T to Titisville to Oil City to Franklin to Brandon to Van for a level century.

First thing its a county park not state! We locals ride here wed. nights at 6pm and sunday at appx. 9am so come on down, from logs to rocks we have a little of everything. We have taken kids and those who feel like kids! From easy to trials its here, remember freeride is a state of being not a bike type.

Recommended Route:
there are appx. seven different directions from pioneer flats that you can start from and each trail has numerous forks. It all depends how you feel!

Summary:
Two mile run park is an excellent place to ride. There are good trails to start on, as well as some very technical rocky downhills. It is very advisable to go with someone who knows the area. A bunch of riders from the area go wednesday evenings as well as sunday mornings, and would be a good group to hook up with for a first time visitor.

Recommended Route:
start behind pioneer flats and follow the path along the creek, cross pritchard road and continue along trail....from there you can go in so many directions. with 50+ miles of total train, it can be a technical or relaxing as you choose. A good singletrack is also to go around the lake on the fisherman paths.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Kennerdell of course, as well as some alright climbs behind west-end pond in Oil City

Summary:
This isn't too detailed, but I can tell you that I will be back to this place. Go with a local - we didn't, and we probably missed a bunch of stuff. Excellent local resource and a decent drive from Akron/Cleveland (under 2 hrs!)

Recommended Route:
Start in the Pioneer lot, go up the hill, cut over on some single-track trails... go further up and over to the next road... from there, who knows....

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Kennerdell
