Cross Country Rider Summary: Great System of trails. Some go from the VIP to the Wave Pool and down to and behind the horse stables. Other trails are located by the golf course. Fun twisty turrny single-track with many fun downhill. Some very fun log piles and a new tearer-totter are located by the golf course. Recommended Route: Start at the VIP and take the trail to the wave pool. Keep going straight at the trail head located in the corner of the wave pool parking lot. Go across McConkey road where you will see a single-track going up into the woods. This is a fun fast forest section with cool ferns that ends in a field. Continue to the corner of the field where it meets the fenced in area. Take this single-track to the bottom of the field where I head down to the trail with the log pile trail by the creek by the traffic circle. Take this trail to the field and cross the creek and go up the steep short uphill and cross the road. Take a loop on this section by the golf course and continue on the high side of the creek all the way back to the horse stables. From there you can go up the model plane testing area where numerous loops can be made. From there make I make my way back the VIP from the trail by the Girl Scout lodge and continue to the VIP. Other recommended trails in the same area: Hartwood Acres
Boyce Park

Cross Country Rider Summary: None of the trails are hard just convenient if you live close. The best trails there are behind the wave pool, im building more with jumps b/c there are not enough. Watch out for the horses on saturdays and sundays. Recommended Route: just ride everything at once, not much trail. Other recommended trails in the same area: Mingo park is a little better despite the horses, no jumps though which sucks

, from Wilkinsburg Summary: Um, dem trails is real good. Iffin it's bin raining, den it be real muddy. Not all that much many hills, but the lil ones be all slick and muddy like I said. Some dudes be puttin big logs all up on the trail, whats up with that? I think they was starting to build something, they look like big Lincoln logs on the trail. Recommended Route: start at the icey skating rink parking lot. follow trail by the creek, come out at 4-way intersection. Go left uphill to wave pool, trail picks up again in parking lot. It winds back down to another 4 way intersection. turn left and find the round about, turn right. trail picks up again about 100 yards on left going uphill. Other recommended trails in the same area: Old Hoe gorge.

, from Pittsburgh/Castle Shanon Summary: Trails for beginners and intermediate+. They are usually in good shape unless it really rains. Good all around riding, some logs to hop. All creek crossing are very shallow 1-2 inches and solid bottom. Ride the trails in both directions they totally change. Watch out for hikers with dogs, and horses, but usually not a problem. Recommended Route: Park by the Skating rink and cross hit the trail just behind the parking lot. When it ends bear right and head towards the scout camp, you should see the next trail by the turn-a-round. You'll be climing the hill to the wave pool parking lot. Once at the parking lot go to the back of the lot and hit the next trail, fast double track to technical downhill. At the bottom you be back by the traffic circle cross to the opposite side and go strait up the hill about 100yard and look for the trail head on the left. Several routes on this trail but they all kind lead to the same dirt parking area. Cross the road, follow short trail down and across the creek. follow the field left and just as it ends follow the trail right. Going strait is lame. Follow this trail until you cross a small wooden bridge and climb a small hill take the next right and continue right at the next junction. this will take you back down to the main drag. turn right and follow the paved path back to the parking lot. Done.
