Ridden Trail: Once a week

, from Shippensburg University Summary: I am going to rate this trail pretty good. Sure, it isn't Technical, but there is some REALLY nice singletrack , and it's some nice countryside. I ride the trail at least once a week. Recommended Route: Start at Shippensburg University, and head to Newville. Park at the univeristy power station, and you can see the start of the trail there.

Ridden Trail: Once a week

Reviewed by: Tim
, from Shippensburg, PA Summary: This is the only "technical" rail trail i have ever seen. It is not graded (still has small baseball sized rocks everywhere), and has short ups and downs where bridges and tunnels used to be. While experienced riders will find boring, beginers will find it more chalanging than a typical, graded and leveled R.T. I run on the trail at least once a week, and it is a good fitness trail free of cars and close to town. Anyone serious about MTBing should continue down I-81 to Michaux State Forest and enjoy some prime riding. Tim Recommended Route: Park in the town of Shippensburg and head toward the University on bike. The trail starts where Prince street meets Campus. The trail heads east. Other recommended trails in the same area: Michaux is great, and Calidonia State Park has a few good trails for beginers.
