, from Alum Bank,Pa Summary: This route involves lots of short, steep climbs and nothing else. The technical skill level is beginner.CONTRARY TO THE OTHER REVIEW,SHAWNEE STATE PARK IS IN SCHELLSBURG,BEDFORD COUNTY,NOT BERLIN OR BOSWELL IN SOMERSET COUNTY. Recommended Route: Slowly ride the heavily trafficed Lake Shore trail to warm up.At the breast of the dam, locate the sewer plant and ride that trail to the top.Go left onto Pigeon Trail, then right onto Felton Trail and finally follow the Field Trail. Other recommended trails in the same area: Lost Turkey Trail in Blue Knob State Park(NOT THE SKI RESORT)Forbes State Forest adjacent to Laurel Mt. Ski Resort
