, from OHIO Summary: I don't know what your idea of technical single track is but it is VERY different than us in Ohio. Wolf Rock was boring and moderately easy, and FLAT, FLAT, SRAIGTH, FLAT, BORING. No sharp switchback, no fast downhills, and no leg burning climbs. Most of it is wide trail, not my idea of single track. The above review was consistent of all the trail on the laurel Highalands trail system. Don't waste your time. Stay in Ohio and hit, GOOD, FUN, CHALLENGING, and TECHNICAL trails like Vultures Knob, Velo Z, and Mohican. Recommended Route: NONE! Other recommended trails in the same area: NONE, Stay home.

, from Greensburg, PA Summary: By far the best riding in Western PA I have found. Recommended Route: Park on the left side right where the road changes form blacktop to dirt. Go down dirt road about 100ft and take first trail to your right. Actually this will take me too long to explain. Just get out there and ride. Be prepared for rocks and logs. Also there are a few nasty bogs which are pretty unrideable(Easy to get your hub covered if it has been wet). Easier to walk around them.

, from Ligonier, PA, USA Summary: Go and ride!!!!! Experience it for yourself. Recommended Route: Start at the Laurel Mountain Ski Resort Lodge ride out the road you came in on, to the Laurel Summit Road and turn left. Take a left when you find the wooden Loop Trail sign (it's on the right before the CC Ski Patrol House) shoot in the trail and just keep riding. Follow any trail you come to. Sweet single track trails with rock gardens and many rock beds. I would suggest a GPS if you don't have a map. I have been twisted around up there, but who cares this is heavan on two wheels. Other recommended trails in the same area: Why go anywhere else?

, from just off the trail Summary: I live just yonder the turnpike and bike from my house to this area quite often in the summer time. The bike trails connect with some nifty places such as Beam Rocks, Wolf Rocks, and Lynn Runn. This trail system connects to the Hidden Valley trails posted in another review, but you'd most likely need a map. See you around. Recommended Route: I love the cross country ski trails on top the mountain near Laurel Mountain Ski Area that are relatively flat. Other recommended trails in the same area: The Hidden Valley trails and also Seven Springs!

, from Johnstown Summary: Trail is rough and mucky, esp. in spring with snow-melt. Rocky; if you go down the Somerset County side, it's a long haul back up. Nice views. Lots of additional dirt and fire roads on the top of Laurel Ridge. Little or no traffic/people. You can make a whole day of it, depending on your mood. Be in shape--take food and water. I know a guy who got lost up there; I wouldn't go by myself. You might want a map.
Recommended Route: Go to Linn Run State Park; start biking the road up to the top of Laurel Ridge; you'll find the trail sooner or later (it's marked). Ride back down to Linn Run is very fast. Other recommended trails in the same area: Ghost Town Trail
