Summary:
Excellent for a flat out ride. Rode from Graterford to Valley forge and Back one afternoon. Also rode from Green lane park to Spring Mtn and back another time. Both are about 22 mile r/t approx. Nice routes, there may be side trails off the main. I'll look for them next time. Also, you can connect all the way to Philly on this.

Recommended Route:
MAin route is easy, look for parks to tie into for diversity.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
High Rocks, Pennypack, Bradford Dam, Schuylkill River(Philly to Valley forge).

Summary:
Let me start by setting the scene for you. June 25, 2003; 5:00pm, 95 deg (hot). I'm riding an old mt. bike with no suspension. Now, on with my impression of the trail. It's a great ride, mostly shady. The surface is almost entirely packed gravel, so it's fairly smooth. I wouldn't think twice about bringing my wife and her comfort bike. They both fair very well on this trail. You'll cross a couple of bridges, see lots of animals, a few swimming holes, and the occasional bench for when you get tired. Just be careful when crossing the streets, as there are several, but they're not very traveled. Ride on and remember, leave on tire tracks.

Recommended Route:
Start in Spring Mount, behind the Spring Mountain Hotel. The trail is marked "To Green Lane".
