Cross Country Rider Summary: this isn't mountain biking really, or maybe for your first time it could be fun. people should build jumps or logrides here and then it might be halfway fun. its all flat and smooth... not a whole lot of fun. Recommended Route: don't go Other recommended trails in the same area: rothrock

Cross Country Rider Summary: This is a really bad mountain biking area in state college. The trails are all have a gravel surface that is super smooth (and boring). There is a loop trail that is about 0.5 miles long. In order to get any type of ride, you have to ride this loop about ten times in a row. My roomate were just looking for a short ride around PSU, and we wound up going to this place. It was boring as hell and we probably will never come back. Recommended Route: From campus, Just go down university drive to the corner at easterly parkway. The trailhead is right at that intersection to the left. This is only a good place to go if you are lazier than all hell, you have no time, or you are a beginner. Other recommended trails in the same area: Rothrock is the best place to ride around here.

, from lansdale Summary: Wow, people actually review this shit? Ok, sorry for the expletive but I rode this trail about 10,000 years ago when I was in college and was too poor/lazy/stupid to head out to anything that was more than like a mile outside of town. Ok, here's the skinny... Nothing too exciting here. It's close to campus and is great when you have limited time. It's relatively flat with nothing at all in the way of technical riding. It's a great place to goof off and just get some basic riding in. It's tough to hurt yourself so go crazy and practice everything you're too afraid to do on a 'real' ride. Want to really have fun on this trail? Take some yahoo with a hybrid who thinks his/her bike can handle something off-road. Eons ago when I was a young college lad, I rode here one day with a tool who joined our biking club. He bent up the cheap rim on his hybrid within 30 seconds. No kidding here! It was great watching him walk home. Recommended Route: university ave to the power co. right of way...or just look for the brick pumping station and head off to the woods Other recommended trails in the same area: plenty of great riding if you head out of town...tussey mountain, state forrest, etc
