Cross Country Rider Summary: The park is a great place to ride and explore with very few other users. Plenty of singletrack, short hills, varying terrain. Some of the marked hiking trails may be boring to technical terrain gurus, but there are many side trails to keep a sharp eye out for. There are also several ledge drops in the 3 to 5 foot range for the brave. Keep a sharp lookout for equestrians (and related poop) and hikers, though there are usually very few and they congregate in the main park area off of PA 407 after the bridge. Recommended Route: Pick up a map at the ranger station to start. I like to park at States Creek Inlet Boat Launch Area. On the east side, take Turkey Hill to Abington, cross PA 524 to Ranger Trail. On west side, take Frost Hollow to Abington.
You can also park off of Rowlands Road to ride a completely different set of trails. Take Kennedy Creek to the Bassett Path, then Abington back to Lee Hill or ATT. Lakeshore is usually very muddy, and you can expect muddy, boggy areas at all time and especially in the spring or after heavy rain amounts. Other recommended trails in the same area: Fell Mountain (Merli-Sarnoski Park), 7-Tubs Natural Area, Prompton Dam.

Racer Summary: Everything and anything you want. But like other reviewers said, watch out for the mud, especially after the rain. Even if it rained over a week ago, you're still likely to come out of the park covered in mud :0) But that's the fun part! Recommended Route: Go from the parking lots to the end of the park, turn right and go past the restroom, down the hill to the dam. Take the scary old bridge and go across the river and then up the hill and follow the road around the bend (left). Keep going up and looking to your left to find the Abington Riding Trail (another one) and prepare to get wet! ;0) Other recommended trails in the same area: Look around and you're guaranteed to find quite a few more! Exploring that area is the best way to go.

, from NE PA Summary: This is a nice loop. Park at the main boat launch parking lot. Ride back out on main rd(rt 407) to the turkey hill trailhead. Ride it counterclockwise and take the Abington trail to Lee hill. Just follow the route listed above . It is a great ride. Not very difficult but still fun. There are some muddy areas after rains, short climbs and downhills. this route is good for beginners through advanced riders. The trails are much smoother than Merli Sarnowski park. I am guessing the milage to be 5-6 miles. Have fun! There are many more trails to extend your ride if you so choose. Trail maps are available in the park. Recommended Route: Turkey hill to Lee hill to tree line to bull hill to woodland ponds to hemlock woods to beech woods to grouse to spruce trail. Other recommended trails in the same area: Merli

, from Scranton, PA Summary: Very easy and fast singletrack. Bring the kids on this one. The trails could be maintained a little better. There is a lot of high grass and picker bushes. Besides that it is nice. Recommended Route: There is a dirt road and parking lot about 200ft after the park offices.(Immediately after bridge on left) If you are coming from 81, Its right before the bridge on right(200ft before the park offices). Duh. Park here and ride the loops right in front of you. These are the most maintained trails in the park. Its only about 4 miles for the three loops. You also have to repeat some areas. Not enough? Follow the dirt road that you drove in on back to the road. Go right over the bridge and you will see a very small footpath that goes up towards the woods. It leads to a bunch of climbing switchbacks that are very tough. One on the top of the mountain, you can follow almost any trail, and you will end up at near the park offices(500ft from where you parked) This is about another 4 miles. Other recommended trails in the same area: Merli if you like the tough stuff.

, from Tunkhannock, PA Summary: try to do the whole trail without getting lost - the map help and the trail is a lot of fun. You go through just about everything on this trail if you go from beginning to end. Recommended Route: ask a park ranger for a map to the trails
