, from Mountain Top Summary: This is a ride the whole family can enjoy! The route is paved bike path for almost all the way to rt. 11 in Edwardsville. Plenty of spots to get off the levy and ride in the woods along the river. My children can handle all the sections of this ride. There are places to stop and get food and drink along the way. We rode out and back and then took a short road route to find the other side of the levy route that goes in the other direction. We ended up in Forty Fort just past the airstip. Once again, the whole family will enjoy, lots of great views on most of the trail. Forty Fort side. Recommended Route: Take the Cross Valley Expressway. Get off once you have gone over the Susquhanna. At end of exit ramp, take a left and go over the Expressway. At next stop sign take a left and then another left into the Levy parking lot. Start by riding the levy toward Kirby park. Other recommended trails in the same area: Lehigh Trail in Whitehaven, Seven Tubs, Pa Gamelands, Giants Despair, Narrow Gauge Rail trail from Mountain Top to White Haven or from Mountain Top to Giants Despair(Wilkes Barre).

, from w-b pa Summary: Its flat and it doesnt always smell great down there. Quads and dirt bikes often go buy and a lot of times there is drunks down there so its not the most peaceful trail. i think it needs to be cleaned up. A lot of trsh laying around and the trail is kinda thin and in mid summer your riding with wall to wall weeds on both sides of a very thin trail. Recommended Route: start in kingston at dike parkinglot

, from wilkes-barre, Pa Summary: I have one word for this trail, flat. Don't get me wrong, It's an ok trail to hit when you can't get anywhere else, but I know of many trails within minutes of Kirby Park that have evrything; climbing, sweet descents, singletrack. The trick is, those who know about these trails keep it to themselves, but I'll tell you where to go, just email me at joe_mang@geocities.com , and maybe I can get a couple of friends and show you the best trails in the Wilkes-Barre area.

, from Kingston, Pa Summary: Trail can be made to suit many skill levels based on how far up river you decide to travel. If you wan to stay in open areas that's OK for beginners or it gets really challenging the farther in the woods you go. But just a note it is mostly flat land as it is near the river. A good place to go especially if you live near Kingston and don'd want to travel far to ride. Recommended Route: Park on road, ride over dike, trails near the river. Other recommended trails in the same area: Lehigh Gorge Trail, Switchback Trail (both near Jim Thorpe)
