Tight, Twisty singletrack complete with occasional small hills, small log crossings, roots, rocks, and off-camber sections. Can get muddy and SLIPPERY when wet due to poor drainage. Please yield and watch out for hikers, frisbee golfers, and other bikers around the blind corners as trails aren't wide. Mostly small loops that return you to the gravel access road that can be equally fun in both directions. Great for an after work "quickie."
Take Rt 22 to 15th Exit. Parking lot is 1.5 miles from Rt 22. Make a Right onto 15th street when traveling west on 22, make a left when traveling east. You want to travel away from downtown, toward Rothrock car dealer. Bear right/straight at first Stop sign onto Mauch Chunk Road. Make a right at first traffic light onto Scherersville Road. Travel 7/10 mile to the Jordan Creek Parkway parking lot on your left. Bike across both bridges and proceed 100 yards up gravel access road to trail head on right (before park bench on left). Trails can be found on the left side of gravel road, too.
Summary: This area is a mountain bike park oasis tucked inside a commercial and residential area. The trials are maintained by volunteers from the Valley Mtn Bikers within a few days of any major winds and rain. I have been riding this area since 1988 and it just gets better each year. Thanks to VMB. The only thing lacking is marked trails. The good news is, it's hard to get lost. Commercial, residential, and farm areas surround this park and Jordan Creek cuts it in half. Great area to practice cross country race skills. Most of the trails are enduro type single track. Just enough obstacles to keep you on your toes, yet you can average 10-12miles/hr for the 5.5 mile loop.
Recommended Route: because the trails aren't marked, You really need to jsut ride the park, like I said its hard to get lost. The main dirt rode parallels Jordan Creek and cuts the park in half. I have a 5.5mile loop that captures all the best of the area. When i get bored I just reverse my direction and its a new ride. I've been riding there for 15yrs...it's a hoot!
Other recommended trails in the same area: Blue Marsh, Jacobsburg, South Mountain, Single track at Lehigh Parkway.

Ridden Trail: Once a week

Summary: This is the trail I learned on. When I first started out, I used this trail to get myself into decent biking shape. I'd say that it's great for beginners/intermediates and those wishing to tune their bikes. Advanced riders will probably get bored with this trail. Because I live 5 minutes away, I go for a quick loop a couple of times a week and I always find new challenges. Really, this place has everything (jammed into one small package). Singletrack, doubletrack, logs, climbs (though small), and downhills. It also scenic as a lot of the ride is next to Jordan Creek. A full loop (forwards and backwards) can take up to two hours. I'd say that I have more fun here than a lot of places I'd drive over an hour for.
Recommended Route: After the two bridges, drop in on the right. Loop around to the bridge and hang a right. Loop all the way around and then do it again backwards.
Other recommended trails in the same area: Jacobsberg would be the next closest decent trail. But it's a TOTALLY different ride.

Summary: Pretty cool place. Good departure from S.M. technical trails. Nice smooth, twisting singletrack along the creek. The best part about the place is the cliff drops coming off the ridge. Steep embankment with cliff bands so you can get anywhere between 2' and 10' of huck for your buck. Also, check out the little bmx track under the power lines. Doubles aren't too big especially compared to other ones in the area but good size to learn on. Then best part about this place is it's proximity to Bethlehem/Allentown and Lehigh. About as good as Jacobsburg.
Recommended Route: All of it.

Summary: Different sections for various levels of a ride. I learned here and can still get beaten up on some of the upper trails. It's small, but can get a good 30-60 min ride in.
Recommended Route: First single track after the 2 concrete bridges, down past creek to concrete bridge, left over bridge to other side of creek, then up to the top, then any trail down.
